infocus MISSIONS TALK: REFUGEE OUTREACH Mr. Andrew Ng, founder of ElShaddai Centre will talk about ElShaddai Refugee Learning Centre, a school for refugee children in Malaysia. Their ministry engages refugees in skills development and social enterprise. Come and hear how we can make a global impact and witness God s work amongst the refugees in this time and era. Entitled Clean Hands, Pure Hearts and Beautiful Feet, the illustrated story book tells the inspiring stories of 10 Singaporean/ Asian missionaries whose lives were used by God for His missions in different parts of the world. The story book can be a good resource for children s ministry and a devotional book for parents to read and discuss with their children at home. DIVORCECARE DivorceCare is a support group that meets fortnightly for 13 sessions on Tuesdays from 7.30pm-9.30pm. Designed to effect value change, the four-tier training approach builds you through biblical learning, mentoring relationships, missions exposure and local internship involvement. If you are finishing your O levels, A levels, or National Service, board onto Trackers to strengthen your relationship with God and be sent off in the right direction for the next phase of your life. prayerfocus CHILDREN S MINISTRY SILVER BOXES 1. Praise God for the support of the volunteers and the participation of the parents' at the recent Shiny Tots pilot project. We will launch the ministry for both 9am and 11.15am services in January 2018. Pray for more volunteers to support this ministry. 2. Pray that our Kindy Campers (2 & 3 December) will continue to develop a child's heart of compassion for the old and the destitute. 3. Pray for our upcoming Christmas special event on 24 December. May the children encounter God in a special way. SONSHINE KIDS 1. Praise God for the response of the children at the recent Day Camp on 18 November. We pray the children will be encouraged to draw and paint as they commune and respond to the Lord. 2. Pray for our upcoming Youth Overnight Camp on 9 &10 December. We pray for the youths to bond together and for the children to encounter God. 3. Pray for our teams as we visit the homes of the Sonshine Kids. May the warmth of God's love touch their hearts. MANDARIN SERVICE Pray for the Christmas Eve Evangelistic service, that worshippers will boldly invite their pre-believing family members and friends, and that God s anointing will be upon the speaker, Pastor Don Wong. YOUNG ADULTS 1. Pray for the various YA cell groups as they prepare to support the Christmas Carnival on 23 December. Pray that they will be able to be creative in planning and be God s witnesses of love. 2. Pray for the end-of-year migrant workers Christmas party on 30 December organized to bless our migrant friends. Pray for meaningful relationships to be built and open doors to minister during the Christmas party.
prayerfocus YOUTH SERVICE 1. Pray that the youths will make good and meaningful use of their time during the school holidays. Pray for stronger and closer bonds to be built within families during this period. 2. Pray for the upcoming youth 2D1N retreat, Navigate, 15-16 December. As the youths come together for a time of worship, pray for them to experience and know God powerfully and personally. Pray for safety and protection during the camp, especially during games at Sentosa. 3. Pray for the upcoming year 15-17 age group retreats in December. Pray that the leaders and youths will grow together as a community in the Lord. Pray for the Lord s presence to be with them as they seek to learn to surrender their lives during the retreat.
