Buyers Guide to Stained Glass for Holiness Churches The Holiness Church in the United States is rooted in the works of John Wesley, and grew from the Holiness movement in the early 1900s. Church officials report over one million members and even more affiliate members across the world. Holiness church buildings today are as varied as the unique and specific character traits of each congregation, with many styles and applications for stained glass in décor. Stained Glass, Inc. professionals have created this brief guide to stained glass designed for Holiness churches as a helpful tool for those members of Holiness churches who are charged with finding the appropriate, inspiring, most beautiful stained glass art to meet the needs of each specific Holiness church. Jesus was actively involved with ministry and so were the people who followed Him. We have to allow Jesus to move in our lives from being members of His church to disciples of his work. Introduction to Stained Glass for Holiness Churches Holiness Church history is colorful and reflects a brave and steadfast devotion to Jesus and His teachings, as recorded in the Holy Bible, the one and only Word of God. The Holiness Church has been the first nurturing spiritual home of many great evangelists and preachers, including Oral Roberts, a beloved Oklahoma evangelist after whom Oral Roberts University is named. Because the earliest Holiness congregations often met to study the Bible in private homes or other temporary buildings, today s church buildings are usually relatively new or previously used by other denominations. In new buildings, congregations may opt for more contemporary styles in stained glass designs, while Holiness members who attend services in older church buildings may be seeking to replace former windows or commission newer stained glass that will blend with the architecture style while celebrating the teachings of the Holiness Church. We celebrate that the Holy Spirit has always manifested apostolic witness in every generation of the Lord s church, including the manifold charismata of the Spirit. And, in the contemporary Pentecostal revival, the multiple giftings of the Holy Spirit continue to demonstrate the ministry of the Lord. As Spirit-filled believers in the modern church, we commit ourselves to the same bold dedication our fathers in the Early Church made to the Lord s Great Commission. Blinded eyes must be opened everywhere. The gospel must go to the ends of the earth. Website of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church https://www.iphc.org/beliefs

Holiness Church Stained Glass Needs are Unique Among the beliefs and Christian tenets held dear among Holiness believers, baptism of the Holy Spirit, manifested in the speaking of tongues and physical healing, among other gifts, are sacred to worshippers. Other strongly held beliefs include sanctification, the born again experience, the redemption of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, evangelism of all peoples, and the future second coming of Jesus to redeem the world. The extensive online stained glass gallery of art, from the studios of Stained Glass, Inc., includes many extraordinary designs celebrating these important Holiness tenets, including: Pentecost Dove On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended on the Christians, including Jesus mother, Mary and baptized them, and they spoke in tongues not native to them, and flames appeared upon their heads. This glorious event is celebrated in this breathtaking work of stained glass art from the studios of Stained Glass, Inc., including rich, vivid colors of the rainbow and evocative, moving imagery that inspires and touches the hearts of believers.

Text and imagery combine with color and light to create this stained glass work that is perfect for classroom, fellowship hall and entryway in Holiness churches. Mourning at the Cross Mourners weep at the cross as Jesus is crucified, sacrificing His very life for the redemption of sin and so that mankind may have life everlasting. This sacred event is depicted using age-old stained glass technique coupled with cutting edge technology to ensure color depth and intensity and ensuring superior quality. This work of stained glass art is perfect for sanctuary, prayer room or every area of worship. The Sacred Cross Christianity s foremost symbol, especially beloved by Holiness church believers, this magnificent cross is the centerpiece for a perfectly symmetrical, modern design with touches of classically styled stained glass art. Muted tones of greens and golds pick up and reflect shifting shades of light throughout the day. Simple, yet powerful, this work of stained glass is motivating and encouraging for Holiness worshippers. Stained Glass That Inspires and Uplifts for Holiness Churches Members of the Holiness Church are welcoming and open to those who wish to visit services and share in the rejoicing and blessings of believers. In newer churches, many congregations opt for more contemporary, colorful, well-designed stained glass window and door inserts, transom windows and other accents for welcoming members and visitors at the entryways and foyers of churches. In sanctuaries, sacred symbols held dear to congregants, like the cross, the dove that represents the Holy Spirit, the Lamb that symbolizes Jesus role as the sacrificial lamb and others are often used to center magnificent stained glass designs in all shapes and sizes, based on the preferences of Holiness clients. Some examples from the online gallery of Stained Glass, Inc. include: A Lamb s Sacrifice Jesus as the sacrificial lamb, in atonement for all sin, is represented here by the lovely lamb that is the focus of this enchanting stained glass design. Perfect as a stained glass window or door insert, this tall, narrow design also works as a sidelight collection of sacred symbols around doorways or along outside walls to reflect natural light as it dances across the muted colors of the panel. Holy Spirit Dove A powerful image designed for use as a transom is perfect for welcoming church members and visitors to Holiness church services as part of the décor in a contemporary foyer. Casting a golden glow into every corner, this lovely depiction of a dove as the Holy Spirit is a glorious, welcoming depiction in magnificent stained glass design. Know that I am God This work of hanging stained glass art, featuring sacred text in a colorful, elegant design, is a powerful accent for Holiness prayer rooms, classrooms and worship areas of quiet contemplation and prayer. The possibilities are endless for stained glass art from Stained Glass, Inc., especially for application in Holiness church facilities. Designs are custom created for size, shape, color and theme according to client preference, and are easily installed behind existing glass for windows, doors and sidelights, transoms, hanging art, altar furniture insets and many more.

A major development in Christianity since the early 20th century is the appearance of many Pentecostal denominations throughout the world. Beginning in the United States and spreading rapidly to most nations of the world, they now comprise a third force (originating as neither Roman Catholic nor Protestant) in Christendom, the phenomenal growth of which has commanded the attention of the world. https://www.iphc.org/history Holiness Stained Glass Window Selection Designers Meet Holiness Church Stained Glass Needs Using Tried and Tested Techniques Beginning a journey to find appropriate, high quality, beautiful stained glass that is cost effective and durable is an undertaking that is maximized by expert guidance and advice.
