BodyTalk - Certification Examination Sample If you are intending to sit for the CBP written exam, you should test yourself on the following questions. The exam will comprise 100 points with questions similar to the following examples. The answers to the sample questions are provided at the end. The pass mark for the exam is 90% (90 points). The practical exam is taken at the same time as the written exam. The pass mark for the practical is also 90% or better. The instructors are aware that many of you trained before the new procedure was taught. They will allow for that. There will be a one year grace period for testing with the previous or new procedure. By Jan. 2005 you will be expected to know the new procedure. The important thing is that you cover every technique and perform it thoroughly. It is also important that you do each technique in the way it is officially taught by IBA instructors. We are all aware that you may have developed new ways of doing things - which is fine - except that for basic standardization and quality control you have to convince the instructor that you know the 'classic' way of doing things properly. Points may be deducted for variances on the standard techniques no matter how good you may think your way is. It is important that we know that all members are fully trained correctly for the CBP certification. The cost to do both exams is US $175.00. (Instructors in other countries outside of the USA will let you know the local fee.) This is payable to the instructor before you start whether you pass or fail. The cost of re-sitting the exam is the same (US $175.00) Once you have passed the exams, you will then send in the signed exam paper to the IBA with a US $20.00 processing fee for issuing your certificate. Your instructor cannot issue your certificate. Only the International BodyTalk System Association can issue the certificate under the signature of the President. After you have passed the CBP exam, you will then be eligible to upgrade your membership to Practicing Membership, and you may do so at the time you send your CBP exam results to the IBA. Contact the office for the pro-rated upgrade fee at that time. You will then be listed on the Practitioner section of the website. Standard members do not have to sit the CBP exams unless they choose to for their own satisfaction. If the instructor you are intending to take the test with is traveling to your area, please make arrangements with them ahead of time to allow them to be able to make adequate advanced travel arrangements and take care of other logistical details. At least 3 weeks notice is recommended. If after passing the CBP exam, you chose to become a practicing member listed on the website, be aware that people who get your name from the website as a BodyTalk practitioner are expecting you to perform BodyTalk. If you also incorporate other techniques with BodyTalk, it is important that you tell the prospective client so as not to mislead the client or misrepresent The BodyTalk System.
