In Loving Memory Our deepest condolences go out to Police Chief Rex Phelps who mourns the loss of his dad Jerry (Stoke) Stoker who passed away Jan. 10 th, in Tyler, Texas. And to the Butch and Cindy Lorenz family as they mourn the loss of their 26 year old son Ryan Alan Lorenz Friends, We would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the unbelievable support you have given our family during our recent tragic loss of our son Ryan. His untimely death was and is a devastation which is almost unbearable. The words of comfort, gifts of food and memorials, visitation of so many of the Academy Alumni, COP members, the Sheriff Department, and the Brenham Police Department at the funeral home as well as the funeral, have encouraged us to go on with our lives. Seeing this participation from so many make this event in our lives becomes bearable. It was a humbling sight and honor to see the uniforms of each unit out in numbers supporting us. For all of this, I would like to offer our sincere thanks. So many of you came out that if I were to mention names, I surely would leave someone out. However, I would like to thank Chief Phelps and the city to allow the COP and Police units lead the escort of my son s body to the church out in the county. I am told it was an awesome sight to see. I would also like to thank Sgt. Hall, which I know has to be a horrible and difficult part of his job, for delivering the sad news to us. His strong hugs and soft words that night gave us the strength to start the healing process. Thank you again Sarge. I would also like to thank Officer Schiller for stopping by that night to offer his condolences and support. His kind words were comforting to us. Thank you again for sharing our grief. Your thoughtfulness has taken our hearts from being at our feet and placed them back to where they belong. Bless you all. Butch, Cindy, David, and Brandy Lorenz & family
