Corinth Baptist Church Newsletter September THE PASTOR S PAGE - September We are now in September with many activities and events planned for the upcoming weeks. September is a busy time with Homecoming and Harvest day being on September 18 th. We are planning a great day of remembering, visiting with old friends and family members on that day. Your Pastor will be bringing the message for the morning worship service and there will be special music and remembrances as well. We will have a covered dish lunch after the service, with no services for the evening. The special homecoming offering emphasis will be for our Building Fund in preparation of future building projects to improve our facilities for worship and instruction. On September 25 th, we are planning a special Youth Service for the A.M. service time. The youth under the direction of Brother Justin Dutton will be sharing their experiences, challenges and hopes for the future. Let us help them as they grow in stature and the nurture of the Lord. Come out and see and support our youth in their service to the Lord and Corinth Baptist Church. Corinth Baptist Church will be hosting a Men s Rally on October 1, 2016. The rally will begin at 8:00 AM with breakfast and registration. The meeting will begin at 8:45 with an anticipated time of completion being around 11:30. With the present need for Godly leadership within our world, we believe that men need to make a commitment to Stand-For, Stand-With, and Stand-Out for Jesus Christ. We will be inviting men from the area as well to come and be a part of this effort. We selected 3 new deacons to serve on the current board. They are Richard Williams, Warren Cavenaugh and Earl Brinkley. We also thank Anthony Teachey, Sean Knowles and Ricky Matthews for their service as they have rotated off the active board. Will Rumbold was elected as chairman of the board and is eager to serve the board and the entire church in any way he can. Let us pray for our deacons and their ministry. If you know of anyone that needs a visit or a contact, please call the deacon of the week or the church office and we will have someone contact that person. Spread the good news of Corinth on Facebook and other social media. Let us continue to run the race that the Lord has set before us. What a privilege it is to serve Him with You. Again, my thanks and my love are with you always. Philip Eakins, Pastor
