Introduction Are you tired of religious people who talk and talk and talk but they have no power? Are you tired that as much as you love God you don t walk in Godly power? Are you tired of powerless churches? Are you ready to walk in the Miracles of God? In this booklet we will look at two main points that hinder the everyday ordinary Christian from walking in divine power and miracles that Jesus did. Not only did Jesus walk in these miracles but also Peter and Paul did the things that Jesus did. Think for a moment and what did Jesus do? Healed the people of diseases Delivered people of unclean spirits He feed the people He rebuked the people He blessed the people He saved the people He walked on water He preached He taught He laid hands on people He loved people He cleansed people In the Gospel of John we read this:

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (John 14:12) NKJV 1 Do you believe Jesus said that we are to walk in mighty works of God just as He did? When I read this scripture there was a stirring in my heart to get busy in Kingdom business and to start walking as Jesus did. I decided to step out of the boat as Peter did and take a risk to walk in God s miracles. I also decided to shake off the unclean spirits back into the fire where they came from and from these two ideas my Christianity was totally transformed from weak and religious to powerful and exciting. Come with me on this Biblical journey and let the Lord speak to your heart as he did mine. Are you ready? If you are ready then let us pray: Father God, we are desperate and great need for You to touch our hearts, mind, and souls with Your truths. Come and fill our minds with great Biblical understanding of the God kind. You alone are worthy of my praise and You alone will receive all the glory! Amen and amen. Now we can begin and let us go to point number one.

Point One-Shake It Off Shake the Unclean Spirits back into the fire Let us go to God s Word and find the answer to one of our questions which is keeping us from walking as Jesus walked. Let us look at what is needed in our lives so we can walk as Jesus said in the supernatural. Are you ready to do whatever God wants to turn you from ordinary to extraordinary? Turn with me to the Book of Acts: Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold. But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live. But he shook off the

creature into the fire and suffered no harm. (Acts 28:1-5) Paul had just survived a shipwreck. He had a tremendous trial that he came through as God had promised him. Using our holy imagination we can imagine that Paul had helped those around him to make it to shore. They were all lying on the beach cold, tired, and shivering. The locals saw these men and began to help. The locals built a fire and we find our servant Paul helping them. Paul was always thinking of others just like Jesus. Jesus said he did not come to be served but to serve. Even in the midst of this cold and wet trail Paul counted it all joy to suffer for Christ Jesus. Even though he was cold, tired, and more than likely shivering himself he put all this aside to serve those people around him. Paul drew close to his body a load of sticks to add to the fire. It was in the midst of doing good as he was throwing the bundle on the fire Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake. Be on the lookout when you have finished doing good; you know the evil one is just around the corner ready to disrupt your spirit. The people of the Island of Malta thought that Paul had really been a bad person and the true judgment of God rested upon him. In their minds only one who God was angry

at would have that kind of bad luck that if he survived a ship wreck only to be bitten by a snake whose venom is toxic and deadly. They did not know that this one time murderer was saved by grace through the shed blood of Jesus. They did not know that Paul s testimony might be titled: Paul of Tarshish A Redeemed Murder fully Redeemed by Jesus. The residents of Malta knew from the world in which they lived that he must have done something really bad for God to slay him after he survived a shipwreck. But Paul was right with his God and if God be for him who can be against him? So for you and I it is of utmost importance to be right with God than with anyone else. If you remember your Bible stories you remember that Paul was called Saul and he was bad. In chapter eight of Acts we find Paul consenting to the death of Stephen. Stephen was a man of God and he was innocent. Paul was a witness of Stephen s death as others stoned Stephen. I think Stephen s death may have truly impacted Saul. But Saul, later changed to Paul by the Lord, was the instigator who wanted to stop these new Christians. He was so bad that Saul had whole Christian families chained and sent to

prison. But I think that Saul, as he witnessed the death of a true martyr of Christ, was wondering what he was doing was the right thing. The power and peace that he saw in the martyr Stephen must have convicted Saul inside his bones. Imagine that holy scene as Stephen looked up and Heaven and the spiritual veil opened to his spiritual eyes. Imagine the peace on this man that is being stoned as he smiled and made eye contact with his Savior, his Kinsman Redeemer. Imagine how those who were throwing the rocks felt when Stephen lifted his eyes towards Heaven and his face shone with all the glory of God s presence. What a glorious sight that must have been that in the face of death there was no sting only peace, joy, and no fear. Saul must of turned around and saw the anger, hatred, and misery on those who thought they had the right religion. But for the first time this death touched Saul at his very core. Well in Chapter 9 of Acts Saul has a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And the Lord changed the heart and the vision of Saul. I am sure that he was in the middle of prayer thinking about how Stephen looked up and saw things in Heaven and that he faced shone with the glory of God. As Saul was ridding or walking all of a

sudden a light from Heaven shone around him. Now, Saul was blind, and his world was sent into darkness. Saul then heard a voice from Heaven asking him why he was persecuting Jesus. I am sure that Saul trembled inside the core of his bones as he fell to the ground. Logic tells us that Saul was persecuting the church yet Jesus said that he was harassing Him. Could Jesus be telling us how He sees the church? I think we could all learn about this and we all should treat His Bride with kindness of words and actions. We should all be preparing the Bride of Christ for His return. We should be washing her in the Word of God. In this same chapter Jesus changes Saul s name to Paul. Jesus sent an ordinary follower to house where Saul was and healed his vision. Saul, Paul was forever changed by this supernatural event. No one could change Paul s mind about what had happened to him; for he was once blind but now he sees. Paul began to walk daily in the power and in the miracles of God. Now we find Paul, a sinner saved by grace alone, in Acts 28 and now bitten by this deadly snake. If I use my holy imagination about this incident and if I think Biblically it was the snake as in Genesis that deceived Eve; so the snake spiritually represents the plan of our accuser. I can also remember that

in Numbers 21 when they all complained against Moses and God if you remember God allowed the snakes to bite the complainers. The snake represents death and the plans of the evil one, whose natural language is one of lies. Well, Paul might have remembered what others said when they talked about Jesus. He might have heard them talk about The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy but I (Jesus) have come to give you life and life abundant (John 10:10). It was at this moment that Paul realized that this unclean spirit had latched onto him to try to kill him. The goal of Satan and the goal of the viper were the same. Both wanted the death of this powerful Christian named Paul. But I think or imagine Paul took authority over the unclean creature and cast him back into the fire where he belonged in torment and the gnashing of teeth. This revelation came to me when I was preaching that many Christians allow the unclean spirits to dangle from there hands and continue to pump poison into their lives. But in the Spirit I tell you to start shaking off the unclean spirits that are harassing you. These unclean spirits that have bitten you only want to dangle there and continue to pump deadly poison into you system or your

mind until spiritual death overcomes the believer. Here is an example of what I am talking about. Perhaps you were bitten by the snake called rejection and this snake hangs from your hand. The longer you allow him to stay the more poison he can inject into your system. Story Time: The Pastor of the church drives by one day thinking about next week message and he didn t see you wave at him. You feel rejected once again and the snake pumps more poison and pain into your system and you are offended. You then bring that poison pumping snake with you into the church the next week and you have such a negative and critical spirit in you that everyone in the church seems to be avoiding you. They are avoiding you because they see the unclean spirit. The snake dangling from you hands is pumping and pumping more and more poison into your system. What is their goal? Their goal has not changed it is still the same today and that is spiritual death within the believer. All you feel is the poison of rejection flowing through your veins and you are ready to leave that unfriendly church. Off you go to another church yet the unclean spirits are still dangling from your hands. Nothing has changed and now you are taking the snakes

with you and they will hang on you until you leave the next church and walk away from Jesus completely. But Paul just shook off the snake back into the fire where it came from. So in the Spirit I tell you shake if off! Whatever has bitten you; you must shake it off and send it back into the fire. Right now physically shake off those harassing snakes of destruction. Come on, right now do it. Physically, with both arms shake off the snakes of spiritual death. But if you are going to shake off the snake make sure you shake if off into the fire so he cannot bite those around you. Go and obey the Spirit of God and start shaking off the unclean spirits that are clinging to you. Ask God and He will show you spiritually what those snakes are. What are the names of your snakes? Could it be one or more of the following? Rejection Abuse Abandonment Addictions Death Images of war Divorce Molestation Pornography Lust Stealing

Lying Sexual Immorality Chronic Masturbation Murder Negative thinking Mental illness Are you tired of carrying all these unclean spirits around? Shake them off and fling them back into the fire. Maybe you have a few other things on your list of snakes such as: Witchcraft New Age Tarot Cards Palm reading Séances Astrology Mediums Satanism Suicide Gothic Rape And the list could go on-and-on of unclean spirits that might be attached to you pumping in their deadly poisons throughout your mind, soul, and body. Paul suffered no harm from this snake bite and this is the same thing God can do in your life.

Jesus did this in my life. I had the snakes of death, guilt, and shame hanging from me even once I became a Christian. The Lord sits as the refiner and I allowed Jesus to turn up the fire to refine me as pure gold. Listen to the Word of God again: But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner s fire And like launderers soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness. (Malachi 3:2-3) Jesus sits as the Master Potter the Master Refiner and His goal is to purify our unclean life. Or as in our story He is ready to free us from the poison of the deadly snakes. Jesus said that the pure in heart see God and Jesus called this person blessed. Paul recognized the plan of the enemy and just shook if off. Arise my friend and shake off the unclean spirits that dangle from your hands so that you can get busy in Kingdom business.

No harm came to Paul. Jesus can be the healing touch in your emotional life. The Lord Jesus is our deliverer. Moses was Israel s deliverer but ours is in Jesus Christ. Jesus has the power to deliver His people for the bite of any snake. Jesus never wants a person halfway healed or half way freed. Jesus has the supernatural power to help you fling the unclean divorce snake back?

into the fire and to stop that generational curse. You can overcome that list of unclean spirits but only in the name of Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can supernaturally cleanse you from any unclean spirit through His perfect blood. Only Jesus blood can set you free. Listen to what our Bible says in Hebrews: For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:13-14) The Old Testament sacrifices and blood did not have the supernatural power to cleanse a person s mind or soul. But the prefect spotless blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse the dead works from our lives. All the snakes represent dead worthless works which keep us from serving a living God. So shake off the dead works and cast them back into the fire and let the blood of Jesus cleanse your heart, mind, and soul so you can serve a living God in power, miracles, and in God s favor.

Stand up, O saint, and shake off those old dead issues. Let go of the snake and be free! Only the blood of Jesus has supernatural power to neutralize the deadly venom of the snakes in your life. The snake of death dangled for many years from my hands. The death of my son Andrew and my daughter Nicole were draining life right out from me. But through Jesus those snakes have been cast back into the fire! Only the shed blood of Jesus, used by His followers in faith, can release the snakes of dead works! Let the Redeemed say so; we are free in Jesus name! No, you are free in Jesus name. And there is still wonder working power in applying the blood of Jesus by faith. Come now and hear what the Spirit of God is saying to your heart. Stand up right now and shake off any unclean spirit in the name of Jesus and be free. Next, by faith, apply the perfect blood of Jesus to every renounced snake of dead works. Rebuke those snakes of death and be free and free indeed! My prayer for you goes something like this. I would like you to read this and make this your prayer from your heart: Father, I have the snake hanging from my life call, Jesus I apply your perfect blood by faith to this snake and the snake s poison. Jesus help me shake off this and in the name of

Jesus I cast it back into the fire. Lord Jesus, be my deliverer and my redeemer. Jesus set me free so I can serve a living God in holiness and purity. I physically shake my hands right now demonstrating my belief that You have the power to finally neutralize the poison that has been running through my veins. By faith I receive my healing and my freedom. Set my heart free from the deadly poisons that have tried many times to destroy me! Amen and amen. Write your own prayer on the lines below and make it your own:

Write and memorize John 14:12 below: Say this verse to someone and then sign off; Signature: Write and memorize Malachi 3:2-3:

Now say these verses to someone and sign below: _

Point Two-Walking in the Miracles of God You and I can and should walk in the miracles of God! I remember the day I read John 14:12 and how I sat there for a few moments. I read that verse on the Lord s Day right before I went to church. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (John 14:12) Once I got to church I started asking those who I thought were strong Christians their interpretation of that verse. One by one I heard all kinds of excuses why Jesus did not mean what He said. One man declared to me that you and I both know that Jesus was God that is how He walked in the miracles. But you and I are flesh and we can t walk in the miracles. I listened to each person but I found in the people in my church; not one of them believed this verse. Now if you cut out this verse you are making the words of Jesus to be a lie! I can t do that I must follow Jesus and believe that what Jesus said to be true.

Let us look deeply into John 14:12 but first let us join our hearts in prayer: Abba Father, You are God Almighty and we are people of unclean lips in need of You. We live in times where everyone around us is also unclean. Help us to learn from You the importance of this verse and how this can change our everyday walk in You. Make us, guide us, and teach us Your truth found in this verse and let this change our hearts for eternity. Help us, mold us, and empower us to be transformed from ordinary to extraordinary men and women of God. Then we shall give You all the glory, honor, and lift Your name higher and higher. Lord, have mercy on me a sinner saved by Your goodness. Amen and amen. Let us understand that John 14:12 was the words that Jesus said. Jesus said, Most assuredly I say to you, Jesus is declaring to his listeners that what He is about to say is truth. And we know from an earlier verse that Jesus is the truth. So right here as we park for a moment and meditate upon this statement we find that individually we are going to have to make a judgment or a decision. That decision is, Believe Jesus can only tell us truth or that He is a liar. If we

believe that John 14:12 is not directed to me than we make Jesus out to be a liar. But if we believe that Jesus is the embodiment of truth then we must act on all that Jesus said. Listen to Jesus as we look at John 14:12 and let us see what He said before verse twelve: Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the

Father; so how can you say, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. (John 14:1-11) Did you read the words of Jesus? He is telling us that our hearts should not be troubled in that He is preparing a place for us in Heaven. Jesus is telling us to trust in Him that He is the truth and the only way to the Father. Jesus is telling His disciples that if they have seen Him then they have seen the Heavenly Father. Jesus is telling us to trust in Him because of the works He did which other religious people cannot do. It is after all this that Jesus then tells us to go and do great works of God. Now you can see, in context, that as His redeemed and saved people, Jesus expects us to great works. The time had come in my life that I was about to make a decision to stay ordinary or to believe that Jesus actually meant what He said. This is when I started walking in God s miracles on a daily bases. This is when my Christian walk went from ordinary to

extraordinary. This is when I got excited about getting up everyday to see what God was going to do. This is when my faith had a foundation and that foundation was, I believe Jesus meant what He said! I do not add anything to that or take anything away from the words of Jesus. Story Time 2 : The Lord called me in 1986 to start going out to the streets of

Lompoc, California and to make a difference. I was a school teacher and I saw many of my students wondering the streets on a Saturday night. Many were involved in gangs, drugs, and immoral sex parties. I heard the Lord tell me to go. I had to make a decision to believe all that Jesus said. I went under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Many blessings started to happen. Many miracles started to happen each Saturday night. Many salvations happened each Saturday night. Story Time: One night this Marine came out to the streets. He stood tall in his uniform and he had been a former student of mine. I had shared about the love, grace, and mercy of God with him before he entered the Marines. But this night was different. This Marine told me what had happened to him recently. He and his buddies went drinking in the San Diego area. At the bar one night they all got drunk. As they left he got behind the wheel of the car. He put the car in drive instead of reverse and almost ran over his best friend. His friend went face first into the hood of his car. Then his friend flew backward and hit the sidewalk face first. He explained that at that moment the verse I shared with him from John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more

abundantly. That verse ran through his drunken mind and he was scared. The Marine said, Tonight I am ready. I told him that we will pray with you. At that moment we all got on our knees in the middle of the mall parking lot. Our group had grown to about 15 that night working with me and we all gathered hands as we were all on our knees with the Marine. I looked at him and said, Just talk to God and then I will lead you in a prayer. He said, God, I almost killed my friend, oh I need You. With those simple words we all began to cry including the big Marine. The rest of the story is that this young Marine ended up being stationed on Okanogan Island. I received a letter nearly a year later and he was now standing in front of bars in that area telling people about the love, grace, and mercy of God. He was using our fliers and tracks. This is the miracle that started the flood gates of Heaven to open and shower down on us the blessings of God. In those early days we saw the hand of God moving as the blessings, His favor, and the miracles changed many lives. One night we did not have any Bibles to give away. Those with me questioned me about this. I told them to trust in the heart of God. We know that God loves these people

and that He wants to place Bibles into their hands. Just watch God provide Bibles for His kidnapped royal children. I told everyone in those beginning years that we are going to ask God for new Bibles none of those old used Bibles that everyone wants to donate. We left for the streets and for about an hour none of the street kids came out. Then a car drove up and they rolled down their window. I walked over to the car and the elderly couple handed me 5 new Bibles in the plastic wrap. Give God all the glory for He alone is worthy! Later that night we needed Bibles and guess how many we needed? You are right, we needed 5 and we had 5 to give away! Again give God all the glory for He alone is worthy! Today as a Senior Chaplain over four prisons and 3,500 inmates I know ask God for Bibles by the cases. Last year we received from God about 1,000 new Bibles in Spanish, 100 Bibles in English and about 500 small Gideon Bibles for His children. The time has come that you now need to make a decision. Jesus would ask you, Do you believe what I said in John Chapter fourteen verse twelve? The time has come to say your own prayer. Are you ready?
