REACH THE WORLD TOTAL MEMBER INVOLVEMENT STRATEGIC PLAN 2015 2020 Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to CALL all people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to PROCLAIM the everlasting gospel embraced in the three angels messages [Revelation 14:6-12], and to PREPARE the world for Christ s soon return.

Goals and Objectives of the Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department Four Objectives of Sabbath School Total Member Involvement Time (TMIT) I. Bible Study II. Fellowship III. Outreach IV. Mission Reach Up to God Acts 2:42, 47 I. Bible Study: Create Bible study guides that are Bible based, Christ-centered and relevant. Add 10-15 minutes of Total Member Involvement time to the Sabbath school program, prior to the Bible study time. Print a breakdown of the elements of Sabbath school in the Bible study guides for Juniors through Adults. Encourage members to engage in individual Bible study the means by which God speaks to us. Integrate Believe His Prophets with the Adult Bible Study Guide. Develop and implement Sabbath School Media for all ages. Revise and strengthen the Sabbath School curriculum. Increase the use of the Bible study aids on mobile devices and in social media. Develop a Bible study curriculum that is strategically designed to educate all ages, at successive intervals, in the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Encourage members to meditate upon the life of Jesus and on Biblical themes (DA 82-83, 207, 271), and memorize the Word, thereby planting the seed of the Word of God in their hearts. Invest in Creative ideas to increase Sabbath attendance and participation.

Reach In with God Acts 2:44-46 II. Fellowship: Create Bible Study Guides and other resources to nurture believers in a life of discipleship and to involve them in service. Implement Disciples in Action (formerly SS Action Units). Dedicate the first 10-15 minutes of each lesson caring for missing members. Plan to visit, pray, care for missing or hurting members, and give territory assignments. Increase emphasis on Small Groups. Collaborate with the General Conference departments and in consultation with division leaders, to create materials that meet expressed needs in the areas of nurture, retention and discipling. Develop seminars on how to get along with one another. Reach Out with God Acts 2:43, 47 III. Outreach and Mission Dedicate the first 10-15 minutes of each lesson to Disciples in Action (formerly SS Action Units), to pray for souls, care for missing members, make a plan of action for outreach, and territory assignment. Support Total Member Involvement initiatives. Set a goal of active participation. Increase the number of church members prayerfully participating in outreach. Make leaders aware of International Institute of Christian Discipleship. Make members aware of Discover Bible correspondence courses. Encourage members to express life-long commitment to the church and personal, prayerful involvement in its mission. Offer In Step with Jesus to new believers. Distribute GLOW tracts or similar types of literature on a large scale.

IV. Disciples in Action-The Practical Application TMI Time - Disciples in Action (SS Action Units). Dedicate the first 10-15 minutes of each lesson to Plan, Pray and Share: TMI In-Reach: Care for missing members. Plan to visit, pray, care for missing or hurting members, give territory assignments. Pray and discuss on ways to minister to church family needs, inactive members, youth, family life, women, and various ways of getting the church family involved. Involves all ministries of the church. TMI Out-Reach: Pray and discuss ways of reaching your community, city, and world, fulfilling the Gospel Commission. This involves all ministries in the church as you plan short-term and long-term soulwinning projects. Plans would be made and implemented in sowing, reaping, and keeping. Youth can be involved in sharing their faith through passing out Glow tracks, praying for neighbors, prayer walking and then preaching at home or abroad.
