SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS 2009 It is that time again. Believe it or not Christmas is coming and our Spirit of Christmas Event is scheduled for Saturday, December 12 th. We are scheduling meetings as we did last year in June and then again in September and October (and in November if necessary) to plan the day s activities. We will meet at 7:00 pm in the CE Building on the fourth Tuesday of the month, June 23 rd, September 22 nd, October 27 th and November 24 th (if needed). We invite anyone who is interested in helping to come to the meetings. At our wrap up meeting in February most of our co chairs were willing to serve again and we hope that is still the case. We do know that we are in need of co chairs for the CRAFT table. Please join us on Tuesday June 23 rd at 7:00 pm in the CE Building and bring your good ideas and your enthusiasm! Summer Worship and Church Picnic Summer is almost here! Our summer worship schedule begins next Sunday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. This will be the last Sunday for the full choir, singing Soon and Very Soon. After worship, stay for the churchwide picnic. Elders and Deacons bring meat and buns. Everyone else bring salad or dessert. July Beach Day! Enjoy the Blue Rocks game in June and have a great day at the New Jersey shore with the Violas in August. Come on down to Bethany Beach on Saturday, July 11, for a day at the beach with Pat and Dave Taylor! You are invited to use our house at Lake Bethany as a base to park, change, relax, and enjoy a cookout meal. Arrive any time from 9:30 on. Bring a lunch or purchase in town or at the Wawa down the road. You can drive the 1.4 miles to the Bethany Beach boardwalk/beach area, or take the 25 trolley that stops in front of the lot next to ours twice each hour. We ll fire up the grill around 4 p.m. We ll provide the burgers, hot dogs, and iced tea. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share, along with a 2- liter bottle of your favorite soft drink. At 7:30 p.m., there s a concert by the Annapolis Blue Grass band scheduled at the Bethany Beach Bandstand to wrap up your day of fun and fellowship.
