As you read through the various ministries at Trinity, you will find many ways to become involved in the life of the church. This Sunday, February 5, you will have the opportunity to turn in your Time and Talent card during a special moment in our worship services. Children will also have an opportunity to participate. SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5 FULL COMMUNION 8:45 & 11:00 AM Sanctuary The 8:45 AM worship service is broadcast via 15-minute delay from 9-10 AM Sundays on WAPI-1070 AM and 100.5 FM. SERMON Dr. Andrew Wolfe MUSIC 8:45 AM Praise Alliance, Laurie Hackney, Jodi Haskins, Debby Holmes 11:00 AM Sanctuary Choir, Maggie Williams, Sarah Alyce Hartley, Laurie Hackney, Jodi Haskins, Debby Holmes MINISTER ON CALL Dave Barnhart, 335-7352 WESLEY HALL 11:15 AM Dr. Dave Barnhart I have the good fortune to have been asked to help with the leadership of our Say Amen campaign to retire the remaining debt from our facilities upgrade six years ago. If you were in attendance at the January 16 Administrative Board meeting you heard numerous, spontaneous testimonies from members about what this upgrade has meant to them in their ministry here at Trinity. What it has meant to our youth ministry (almost 400 youth in our student ministry), what it has meant to our music ministry (over 420 people involved in our music ministry), and what it has meant to our children s ministry (over 350 in Vacation Bible School and 702 enrolled in Sunday school) and on and on and on. This growth in ministry would have been hampered had we not stepped out in faith with our facility upgrade. The response of our congregation to the sacrificial giving necessary to enable this was overwhelming and nothing short of a Holy Spirit led undertaking. It is now time to Say Amen to that phase of our faith journey and prepare for what lies ahead. One of The Upper Room devotionals last week quoted Jeremiah 29:11 in saying I know the plans I have for you. The word is plans and it is plural. God has plans for Trinity and Trinity is you and me. We need to retire this debt so our future ministry needs are not hampered by servicing a mortgage. We need to be ready to answer Gods call. I hope you will prayerfully consider making a one-time sacrificial gift or a twelve month commitment so we can Say Amen and retire this debt and get ready for the work that lies ahead. May the Lord bless you and keep you, Jack Reamey information for guests & new members Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church! Our mission is to Gather people to Christ, Grow people in Christ, Go to serve Christ in the world and Glorify Christ. Sunday Worship Opportunities: 8:45 & 11:00 AM Traditional services in the sanctuary, offering same sermon and a variety of music. 11:15 AM CONTACT a relaxed, informal, service in Wesley Hall featuring praise music from the CONTACT Band, children are encouraged to attend. 10:00 AM Sunday School Ages 2 years and up.
