Leading girls into a growing relationship with Jesus through the Bible, the Church, and the Holy Spirit K 5th grade Wednesdays, September May 6:30 8 p.m. Clubs are a safe place where girls can feel valued, wanted, beautiful, and supported while learning about God and His purpose for their lives. Our desire is to win girls to Jesus through love and acceptance. There are four clubs: Daisies Kindergarten Prims 1 1st grade Stars 3 3rd grade Friends 6th & 7th grade girls Prims 2 2nd grade Stars 4 4th grade Stars 5 5th grade An alterative to attending youth service.
Welcome! Prims Club For 1st and 2nd Grade Girls The Mpact Prims Club is for first and second grade girls (Prims 1 is for first grade, Prims 2 is for second grade). Girls will be a Prim for two years. We have a variety of activities planned including Bible lessons, songs, crafts, and games to help young girls learn more about God as they earn badges. Club Schedule Each grade has a slightly different schedule and activity line-up. Here s a general overview of what each night looks like. Large Group Kids Auditorium 6:30 6:40 10 min. Awards/Prayer/Close 7:55 8:00 5 min. Pick up at room 8:00 A timely pick-up is appreciated! Extra Activities Beyond the club time, some grades schedule extra activities inside and outside the club room. Activities include harvest parties, nursing home caroling, last supper reenactment, fun gatherings, and more. In addition, all clubs (K 5th grade), gather together several times during the year for activities which include: Operation Christmas Child packing parties, packing meals for starving children, Fun Night, and the *Mpact Celebration. More information regarding events will be communicated during club, email, and handouts. *The Mpact Celebration is a special service held each year to celebrate the accomplishments of all the girls in the Mpact program and honor the 5th grade graduates from Stars Club. Teachers The teaching team is made up of moms who have girls in the program and/or women who are part of Cedar Valley Church. They volunteer their time, talents, and resources to make Prims the best it can be. Every volunteer has attended training and screened with an application, references, and a background check. Parents are welcome to sit in or volunteer. For more information about volunteering, talk to one of the teachers.
Prims 2 Badges As an incentive, girls can earn badges as they get to know others and grow closer to God. Prims1 or Prims 2 One Year Pin Honor Pin First year girls in Prims who earn eight badges, are eligible to receive the One Year pin. If girls earned the One Year pin in Prims 1 and earn eight badges in Prims 2, they ll become an Honor Prim and receive the Honor pin. Sick Child Guidelines Kids play closely together in their club rooms and we want to make sure we maintain a healthy environment for them. Parents should notify the teacher if their child has a continual clear runny nose due to allergies. For the safety of everyone, kids who have had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours will not be allowed to stay in a clubroom: Fever (100 degrees or higher) Diarrhea Severe coughing Yellowish skin or eyes Pink-eye (conjunctivitis) Lice Earache Toothache Green runny nose Vomiting Mouth sores (i.e. Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease) Chicken Pox Parents should notify the kids pastor at 952-854-1100 or email kids@cvchurch.org if a child has come down with the Chicken Pox; Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease; or Lice within 48 hours of being in a club room.
Prims 2 Units with Verses We ll practice memorizing Bible verses during club each month, but please practice verses at home. The music CD, if available, will be a great help. Below includes verses and lessons. Bible Your Word is a lamp to my feed and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 Focus: God s Word shows me the way. 1. What does the inspired Word of God mean? 2. Why do I need to know the Word of God? 3. How do I use my Bible as a lamp? 4. How do I learn more about the Bible? Prayer The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. 1 Peter 3:12 Focus: God cares for me and listens to me. 1. What is prayer? 2. How do I pray? 3. What do I pray about? 4. How do I know that God hears me when I pray? Safety Whoever listens to me will live in safety. Proverbs1:33 Focus: If I listen to God, I will live in safety. 1. Church Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another. Hebrews 10:25 Focus: I need to spend time with God s family. 1. What is the Church? 2. Salvation For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Focus: Jesus gave His life for me. 1. How do we know what God is like? 2. What did Jesus do for me? 3. How do I show Jesus I love Him? 4. Will I live forever? Creation You made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. Acts 4:24 Focus: God created everything, and He created me. 1. What is creation? 2. What happened on days one and two? 3. What happened on days three and four? 4. What happened on days five, six, and seven? Plants & Flowers By Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth. Colossians1:16 Focus: God created plants and flowers for me. 1. How did God design the plants and flowers? 2. Prims Pledge As a Prim, I will be careful of what I say, where I go, and what I do; trying always to be my very best for the Lord Jesus, because I love Him. Additional Memorization Continued During club, we ll introduce the girls to the Lord s Prayer and Books of the Bible.
