Mr. Sears said that the subdistrict lies in north St. Louis County near Florissant Valley Community College, between West Florissant and Sraith Avenue, and south of nterstate 270. t has 28 lots with 28 homes. The purpose is to eliminate individual septic tanks. The sewer will be installed in the stree^tj between.the rows of homes, even though the street is on a ridge> because.the.bottoms of the adjacent valleys are comparatively.distant. Wot all of the homes on the road can be served because of the configuration of the ground, but those which are no-f, have been omitted from the subdistrict. COWSDERATOW OF REPORT.OF PUBLC BOUWDARY HEARWG W.SUBDSTRCT NO. 354 (BELLEFONTANE PLACE SAWTARY NTERCEPTOR) Report of Public Boundary Hearing in Subdistrict Wo. 354 (Bellefontaine Place Sanitary nterceptor) addressed to the Board of Trustees, dated June 25, 1970 (Subdistrict Report Book, Volume X, Page 1) signed by Jack B. Enger, Engineer, Subdistrict Development, was presented and read. Mr. Sears said that the Hearing for the Bellefontaine Place Sanitary nterceptor was held January 7, 1970. Mr. Enger, who conducted the meeting, explained the procedures of establishing a subdistrict to the 40 persons present, 25 of whom lived within the boundaries. The remainder lived in Bellefontaine Place West.- There were several residing on the northern edge of the subdistrict who showed interest in getting into the subdistrict rather than going to the deep sewer across the street to the north, but only one lot o-wner asked for annexation to Subdistricts No. 354 and 333. The rest of the people decided to connect to the other one. Motion made by Mr. Huntington, seconded by Mr. Parker, that the above Report be received and filed. No discussion. Mr. Kaiser said that although the purpose of the sewers to be installed as well as the physical attributes have not changed, the Federal Government will grant money only on those sewers which are in the nature of an interceptor. t is a matter of semantics, but it would be preferable because of a requested federal grant in aid of construction that the subdistrict be re-named from Subdistrict No. 354 (Bellefontaine Place Subtrunk) to Subdistrict No. 354 (Bellefontaine Place Sanitary nterceptor). He said that the Federal Government would not refuse to make a grant because of the name, but that the change would make the purpose clearer.
