SOMETHING THE LORD MADE is the true story of the black cardiac pioneer Vivien Thomas (Mos Def) and the white surgeon Alfred Blaloc (Alan Rickman). Together they opened the door to the field of heart surgery while dealing with the prevailing racism of the time. Catalyst will host the Chili Cook-Off and Big Game Watch Party on Sunday, February 5 at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall. Please bring a chili or a side dish to share. The Heritage Chorale will perform at Church of the Saviour on Sunday, February 12 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary. Founded in 2002, the Heritage Chorale has followed a mission of bringing sacred music especially the Negro Spiritual and Gospel music, to audiences locally and internationally. Group Life Leadership is pleased to announce the third session in our small group leader training program on Feb. 12 at 12:30 p.m. in Calvary Hall. This final program covers strategies to manage difficult people and relational challenges that exist or emerge in every group. Attendance at prior sessions is not a requirement.
