Blessings from the Psalms When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Psalm 27:8 Authorized Version Bible Memory Book Trinity Bible Church Hillcrest Chapel 2010

Assignment 1 Psalm 1:1-6 ~ 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. ~ 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. ~ 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 5:11 c 11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Assignment 2 Psalm 19:1-7 c~ 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. ~ 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. ~ 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Assignment 3 Psalm 19:8-14 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ~ 12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. ~ 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. c~14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Assignment 4 Psalm 20:7 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 23:1-6 c~ 1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. ~ 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. ~ 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Assignment 5 Psalm 24:1-7 c 1 The earth is the LORD s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. ~ 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? ~ 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. ~ 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Assignment 6 Psalm 24:8-10 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 25:4-6 ~ 4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. c~ 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. ~ 6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Psalm 25:12 12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Assignment 7 Psalm 27:1-7 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. c~ 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. ~ 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. ~ 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

Assignment 8 Psalm 27:8-14 8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. 9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. 11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. ~ 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. ~ 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. c~14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Assignment 9 Psalm 32:1-7 c~ 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ~ 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. ~ 7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Assignment 10 Psalm 32:8-11 c~ 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. ~ 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. ~10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Psalm 34:1-3 1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. 11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Assignment 11 Psalm 34:8-14 c~ 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. ~ 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. ~10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. 12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. 11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

Assignment 12 Psalm 37:1-7 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. ~ 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. c~ 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. ~ 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
