Dawn Richie, Pastor John Simkovich, Organist The Resurrection of Our Lord 10:45 AM HYMNAL DEDICATION ~ We are dedicating new hymnals to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Lois McCluskey by the McCluskey family. We thank the McCluskey family for this memorial as we continue the ministry Lois was part of for many years. EASTER PROCLAMATION P On this day, with full devotion of heart, mind and voice, we praise God, and the only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; who paid the debt of Adam and who redeemed us from the bondage of ancient sin. In ancient times, you delivered our forebears, the children of Israel, from Egypt and led them to the promised land. Today all who believe in Christ are rescued from evil and sin, renewed in grace and holiness, by the rising brightness. Christ arises from hell in triumph, breaking the chains of death. We pray, O Lord, that he in whose honor this candle burns, continues to banish the darkness of this night and shed light on the whole human race. Through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, who rules with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. C Amen. Stand PROCESSIONAL HYMN #382 Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Sit SERMON Stand HYMN OF THE DAY #367 Now All the Vault of Heaven Resounds NICENE CREED C We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. THE GREAT THANKSGIVING P The Lord be with you. C And also with you. P Lift up your hearts. C We lift them to the Lord. P Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. C It is right to give our thanks and praise. P It is indeed right and salutary that we should at all times and in all places offer thanks and praise to you, O Lord, holy Father, almighty and everlasting God. But chiefly we are bound to praise you for the glorious resurrection of our Lord; for he is the true Passover Lamb who gave himself to take away our sin, who by his death has destroyed death, and by his rising has brought us to eternal life. And so, with Mary Magdalene and Peter and all the witnesses of the resurrection, with earth and sea and all their creatures, and with angels and archangels, cherubim and seraphim, we praise your name and join their unending hymn: EUCHARISTIC EASTER PRAYER Greeter(s): Todd Gimbi & Stacey Radenhausen Acolytes: Morgan Mengle & Paige Stelea Crucifer: Sam Hoffman Assisting Minister: John Hart Sound Technician: Bob Richie Ushers: Matthew & Bruce Hoegg, Bob Richie, Larry Smith
