IMMERSED IN HIM Becoming One with the Living Christ L. Emerson Ferrell
WATER: A HEAVENLY ELEMENT Day two through six of creation show the meticulous design of God to sow the DNA of Christ into every part of the universe. God separated the water from the water, and in doing so guaranteed the water and Spirit would operate at every level in the visible world. And God said, Let there be a firmament [the expanse of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below] from the waters [above]. And God made the firmament [the expanse] and separate the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it was so. (Genesis 1:6-7 AMP)
Jesus told Nicodemus the water and Spirit were required to be born again and thus to see His kingdom (see John 3:5 AMP). Perhaps one of the most important parts of our discussion will be about water. People cannot live without it, nor are we able to recreate it cost-effectively. Scientists are able to join hydrogen and oxygen together to form water, but the chemical compound H 2 is not available in earth's atmosphere because of gravity. The process of extracting hydrogen from methane would require extraordinary amounts of natural gas and energy. So theoretically humans can produce water, but because of the expense we prefer to use other methods. I believe that water's origin and source is Heaven. Furthermore, I believe the Scriptures will demonstrate an amazing comparison between water and Jesus. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2 WBT) The first thing to notice in this verse is there are two faces, which I believe to be a description of God and Jesus. The first is the nature "darkness," and the second is water. I know God is light and there is no darkness in Him, but this type of darkness does not represent absence of light. It is the way He masks Himself in order to protect humankind from His glory. God is a consuming fire and conceals Himself in the thick smoke of darkness because of His great love. The people stayed at a distance, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. (Exodus 20:21 WEB) These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly on the mount from the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness,
with a great voice: and He added no more. And He wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them to me (Moses). And it came to pass, when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that you came near to me (Moses), even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders. (Deuteronomy 5:22-23 WBT) God spoke, and Light with Life instantly entered the waters through the Holy Spirit, changing the visible liquid into living water. The Living Water is Christ as the Light, Life, and Word. The Godhead is the source of all life, light, and spirit. His Word is the bridge from the invisible to the visible world. Jesus describes Himself as the living water to the Samaritan woman, in John's gospel. Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God s gift and Who this is that is saying to you. Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water. She said to Him, Sir, You have nothing to draw with [no drawing bucket] and the well is deep; how then can You provide living water? [Where do You get Your living water?] (John 4:10-11 AMP) He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. (John 7:38 AMP) The woman knew the importance of natural water and she, like Nicodemus, could not understand the reference to living water. Jesus is the master of connecting the visible and invisible worlds together. Man s responsibility is to recognize his need for spiritual substance outside his physical existence. The woman was familiar with religious teaching, but her eyes and ears were spiritually closed because the water she drank was not the "living water." In other words,
natural water is essential for physical life, but the "living water" is the only source for spiritual understanding and rebirth. The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming He Who is called the Christ (the Anointed One); and when He arrives, He will tell us everything we need to know and make it clear to us. Jesus said to her, I who now speak with you am He. (John 4:25-26 AMP) This is the sad picture of life in many churches today. There is so little revelation of Christ because they have not tasted the unadulterated "living water." The water offered in them is mixed with additives, which produces religion. Living water is available anywhere the Holy Spirit is present. In some cases people outside the systems of churches have "tasted" the as a result given their lives to Jesus. "structures" or Living Water and The living water touched everything God created, because the very earth was resting "in" Jesus. God formed man from the dust of the earth which was in the water. The seeds of the earth originated in the living water and remained dormant until the dry land appeared. Did you ever consider the origin and DNA of all the seeds on the earth? Remember, at creation God said, "Light be." God released His glory, impregnating the waters with His DNA and purposes. The dry land appeared, portraying a womb, with the seeds of God under the soil. Then God said, Let the water under the sky come together in one area, and let the dry land appear. And so it was. (Genesis 1:9 GW)
The Holy Spirit reminded me of the Scripture which spoke of His glory filling the whole earth (see Isa. 6:3). God's glory is the DNA of all life and programs all matter perpetually. Science speaks about energy and matter in relation to one another, but cannot explain their origin. I believe the glory of God is the energy within all life, while matter, on the other hand, is the physical demonstration of His spiritual substance. Therefore, after the dry land appeared the life of Christ was in all matter, including the seeds. Then God said, Let the earth produce vegetation: plants bearing seeds, each according to its own type, and fruit trees bearing fruit with seeds, each according to its own type. And so it was. The earth produced vegetation: plants bearing seeds, each according to its own type, and trees bearing fruit with seeds, each according to its own type. God saw that they were good. There was evening, the morning a third day. (Genesis 1:11-13 GW) God activated the vegetation the same way He worked the miracles through Jesus. Have faith that I am in the Father and that the Father is in Me: at least, have faith in Me because of what I do. (John 14:11 BBE) Everything made by God in the physical realm was through the Holy Spirit and Jesus. The miracle of conversion must be performed in the same manner as creation; otherwise, it will not reproduce the fruit of the Spirit. If God's glory is not inside the seed, it will not replicate the Godhead. The DNA of satan and the first Adam corrupted the seeds God planted inside the consciousness of man.
Harmful thoughts corrupt the cells of man. Moreover, those same cells affect the thoughts and DNA of the next generations. Prophetically, ask the Holy Spirit to water the seeds inside your spirit, which for many of you may have been dormant and lifeless. Holy Spirit, I ask You to impress those reading to call upon You so they can be reminded of the future planted inside them and their generations. Empower them to uncover and activate those promises of greatness with faith. Lord, I ask You to produce a harvest of reformers from the seeds sown by Your Spirit in this book. Do you see it? The model of Genesis is the same today as it was in the beginning. The life and light is in Him. Adam was formed in the image and likeness of God because He was designed to be God's son. The ground or dust contains the very essence of the living water. Our physical body was designed to reflect the living Christ. God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth, So God created man in His own image, the image and likeness of God He created him, male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27 AMP) And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life; and man became a living soul And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and e4very fowl of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. (Genesis 2:7, 19 WBT) From Genesis to Revelation, the comparison of water with Jesus is unmistakable. Read a few more passages in order for this revelation to empower the seeds in your spirit. After you
see it, rise up and shake off the slumber because you are carrying the overcomer's seed. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is upon man (great) waters. (Psalms 29:3 AMP) His feet glowed like burnished (bright) bronze as it is refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. (Revelation 1:15 AMP) For the For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the Springs of the Waters of Life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. (Revelation 7:17 AMP) The angel showed me a River filled with the Water of Life, as clear as crystal. It was flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1 GW) Paul sums up the creation picture we have been drawn with these verses in Colossians. For by Him were all things created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through Him, and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things are held together. (Colossians 1:16-17 WEB) Everything resides inside Jesus, both visible and invisible, because without Him nothing has substance or form. He is the reason all things exist and without Him nothing can live. You are designed to live on the earth and reign in Christ. That is not just a cliche or words from a Christian "life coach," it is the truth and the answer to all of your problems. Here is what Jesus said to the disciples who would be tortured, stoned, and
killed, and yet they lived in perfect peace. I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you]. (John 16:33 AMP) The world will never understand or support those who are in Christ. Neither will they experience real peace from the visible world. The mind is the greatest obstacle to overcome for someone who wants to understand reality. The truth exists in Christ who resides in the spiritual and physical realm simultaneously.
