Divine Revelation the Throne Room revealed Chap. 4 throne room scene in heaven John taken up Chap. 5 the book with 7 Seals o Intro of the Lamb o Description of the Lamb Worthy of Worship a) The Four Living Creatures Revelation 4:8 11 And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come. 9 And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, b) The 24 Elders 10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.
Revelation 5:1 5 I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals? 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it. 4 Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it; 5 and one of the elders said to me, Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals. Revelation 5:9 10 And they sang a new song, saying, Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth. c) The Angels Revelation 5:11 14 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing. 13 And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. 14 And the four living creatures kept saying, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshiped.
II. Divine Wrath God s judgment begins upon the earth Chap. 6 Seals 1-6 1) The rider on the White horse the anti-christ 2) Red horse war 3) Black horse famine 4) Ashen horse death 5) Martyrs from the Trib crying out for justice 6) Terror earthquake, sun blackened, moon like blood, stars falling, sky split apart and the mt s and islands moved Revelation 6:15 17 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand? Chap. 7 Interlude 144k a multitude from the trib Chap. 8 7 th seal the trumpets 1-4 Revelation 8:1 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. The Trumpets: 1) Hail and fire mixed with blood 1/3 of the earth burned up, trees burned up, all the green grass burned up 2) 1/3 of the sea turns to blood, 1/3 of the sea creatures die, 1/3 of the ships destroyed
3) the star Wormwood turns 1/3 of the fresh water biter 4) sun, moon, and stars are darkened by 1/3 the day would not shine for 1/3 and the night in the same way Revelation 8:13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in midheaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound! III. Divine Intervention - the Threat toward Israel Chap. 12 the woman and dragon along with Michael Satan s attempt to destroy Israel and God s protection/intervention on their behalf Chap. 13 the Beast from the Sea the Beast from the Earth - 666 Chap. 14 the Lamb & the 144k angels flying in the mid heavens doom of the worshipers of the Beast along with the reaping of the earth - Matt 24.14 the gospel Chap. 15 Heavenly Scene Revelation 15:2 4 And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. 3 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations! 4 Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed. Concluding Thoughts: 1) A purifying hope the Lord is coming at any time 2) A sobering reality those who do not know the Lord will go through unimaginable suffering
3) A call to recalibrate our lives in light of the days we are in Our Purpose: To Worship & Glorify the Lord How is Christ being revealed through our lives? How are we being good stewards of His resources (time, treasure & talent) in our lives for the furtherance of the gospel? Our Personal Relationship with the Lord Is He our first love? Are we walking with Him by Faith, in Truth? Our Personal Relationships with one another Are we walking in Grace toward one another? Love and Forgiveness? Our Witness: How are we purposely and intentionally availing ourselves to the Lord to proclaim His truth, the Gospel of His Grace, to any and every person the Lord leads us to share with?
