Clue Number Two: We don't have the correct list either! j ' SIX TALENTED ARTISTS IN "GALA PERFORMANCE" In the company of GALA PER FORMANCE, which will be presented at the Bethlehem Central High School at 8:15 p.m. on Monday, February 10, are these expert dancers, ballerinas Shirley Weaver and Mavis Walters, with Jose Falcion. All have had wide professional experience. Miss Weaver has danced in the ballet company of the Metropolitan Opera, the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and also at the P:ol.per Mill Playhouse. Miss Walters has appeared on Broadway and has danced with the San Carlo Opera Company, the New York Operetta Comapny, and has appeared on television with the Ken Murray Show. Combining their talents with those of the dancers, are Soprano, Angelene Collins and Tenor, james Tushar. The former has distinguished herself as singer-actress in operetta and music al comedy with the leads in 11 The Great Waltz, 11 "Song of Norway" and "Rosalinda. 11 Mr. Tushar has a distinguished background as a singer-actor,. having appeared in such famous musicals 11 as "Carousel," Brigadoon 11 1 "Call Me Madam'' and many others. He has performed in many top television shows, having appeared with Steve Allen, Perry Como, Bob Hope, and Walter Winchell, as well as having part in productions of the Kraft Theater, NBC Spectaculars, Yom Hit Parade and Producers' Showcase, This talented cast of young artists will present a varied program of song and dance including excerpts from ballet, light opera, and modern American Folk music. The concert is sponsored by the Delmar Progress Club to mark their annual open meeting. The public is invited to attend. To the Spotlight Dear Sir: What can we learn from the bit ter fight put up by the good people in New York City when the fluoridation issue was introduced there? There was, at first, no opporhmity afforded for those opposing fluo ridation to be heard. Many publications refused to print anything against it. Eventually an open meeting was held and many well qualified speakers were heard. This town meeting lasted for almost 16 hours. It was decided to adopt a policy of ''caution.'' A very good statement was is- sued by Arthur C, Ford, Commis sioner, The City of New York, Water Supply, Gas and Elec tricity, States and in the local area who have found evidence of fluoride damage to persons living in fluoridated communities. These medical authorities disagree with the fluoride hypothesis, and they have raised grave questions with respect to the safety of the procedure for an entire population which includes the young, the old, the susceptible and the infirm as well as the healthy, "Unfortunately the forum on the subject of fluoridation is not as open as it should be, even among professions.
