Fresh Fire Forty Day Fast and Prayer Experience Growing in God for 40 days Day 1 Wednesday, February 18 Our Foundation: Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name I will do it. John 14:13, 14 Our Inspiration: Connecting to God the Father in prayer for the next 40 days is a privilege and an honor. We connect by praying in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! We have confidence and assurance that God will hear and answer our prayers Our Request: Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for a divine Connection with you over the next 40 days of our fasting and praying. We believe this is the year of Connection and we look forward to all of the wonderful blessing You will give to us because we are connected to Christ! Our Expression: We express an attitude of Great Expectation in God during our time of prayer and fasting today. We expect God to do great and mighty things in our lives and the life of New Horizons Church! Day 2 Thursday, February 19 Our Foundation: If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear. Psalm 66:18 Our Inspiration: Our Connection to God can be broken through un-confessed sin in our lives. When we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleans us from all our unrighteousness. Let s keep our connection clear and be confident that the Lord will hear! Our Request: Lord, we pray for cleansing from our sins. We want to keep our Connection with You clear from sin and iniquity. Lord, we repent from our wicked ways and desire to reconnect with the Lord Jesus Christ. Help us to experience our Connection with you in real and tangible ways today Our Expression: We express an attitude of Thanksgiving toward God during our time of fasting and prayer today. We thank Him for the forgiveness of all our sins. Day 3 Friday, February 20 Our Foundation: Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weakness. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26 Our Inspiration: The Spirit of God connects with us when we pray. Sometime we do not know what to pray for and the Holy Spirit will provide assistance in prayer. He will connect with us and pray for the things that we need. Our Request: God we pray that the Holy Spirit will connect with us as we pray to You in faith. Lord we do not know what we should pray for as we should, but we know You will help us. Lord we desire our prayers during our 40 day Fresh Fire prayer and fasting experience to be according to your will for our lives and Your Kingdom. Father we thank You for the privilege of praying to You and the Promise of Your help during our time in prayer. Our Expression: We express an attitude of Submission toward God during our time of prayer and fasting today. We submit to Your will for our lives in our prayers today.
Day 4 Saturday, February 21 Our Foundation: And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit Eph. 5:18 Our Inspiration: The Spirit of God lives in all of us who believe in Jesus Christ. God desires for us to be filled with His Spirit on an on-going basis. If we ask, God He will fill us with His Spirit. Our Request: God we desire to connect with You and be filled with the Holy Spirit today! As we go through our day, Lord, fill us again and again. We desire to be led, guided and directed by the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives. Our hands are lifted and our hearts are ready to receive a blessing from You! Fill us with Your Spirit! Our Expression: We express an attitude of humility to God during our time of fasting and praying today. We humbly submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives. Day 5 Sunday, February 22 Our Foundation: Now this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 1 John 5:14, 15 Our Inspiration: We should be confident in prayer today that God hears us and answers us during our time of prayer. We simply need to ask according to His will, and we know His word is His will. Our Request: Our prayer as we fast today, is for our Administrative staff and Operational staff. We hold them in highest regard. Please bless and keep them as they endeavor to do kingdom work. We pray that you will strengthen and renew them, as they seek to serve your people and to carry out the work of this ministry. We pray that you will bind their hearts together in love and unity. Help us to be helpful to them as we serve together in ministry for the Lord. Our Expression: We express an attitude of devotion to God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 6 Monday, February 23 Our Foundation: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelist, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Eph. 4:11-12 Our Inspiration: God has given the church the wonderful gift of leadership and pastors to help the body of believers accomplish Gods plans in the earth. We praise God for New Horizons Church and our Pastor, Eric L. Wiggins and the gifts God has given to him. Our Request: Father, we fast and pray today for our pastor, Eric L. Wiggins. Lord please protect, provide, prosper and position him for victories and success in Your Kingdom. We ask you to speak to Him in Your Word and anoint him to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity and power. We thank you for blessing New Horizons Church with a pastor who is after your own heart. We pray for his health, family, finances and future in You. Give Eric L. Wiggins supernatural favor in everything he does for You and our church family. Our Expression: We express an attitude of appreciation during our time of fasting and praying today. We appreciate how much God loves us and His gift to us in the person of our pastor.
Day 7 Tuesday, February 24 Our Foundation: "The man who finds a wife finds a treasure and receives favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22) Our Inspiration: A wife is a treasured gift from the Lord! Lady Camille is a treasured gift from God. Our Request: Father, we thank you for Lady Camille Wiggins. We fast a pray today for her continued health and strength. We thank you for her testimony that You are our healer! We pray you will bless her richly and show favor on her husband and her children. Bless her spiritually, physically, emotionally, and financially. Please continue to shower her with love, joy and peace as she serves as a wife, mother and inspiring woman of God. Our Expression: We express an attitude of love for God during our time of fasting and praying today. We desire to express the love of God in every area of our lives. Day 8 Wednesday, February 25 Our Foundation: It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer. And while they are still speaking I will hear. Isa. 65:24 Our Inspiration: God is already waiting for us to call on Him in prayer! In fact, He has shown Himself faithful to answer even before we call on Him because He already knows our needs! Our prayers are an act of obedience to Him. Our Request: Lord, today we pray for the 5 G vision of New Horizons Church and that You will work through us to bring it to pass. Help us to Go and share the gospel so souls can be saved. Help us to Grow as disciples. Help us to Gather in fellowship with each other. Help us to be Grateful to you via Spirit-filled worship. Help is to Give generously so we can bless others. Our Expression: We express an attitude of trust of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. We believe God will bring the vision to pass! Day 9 Thursday, February 26 Our Foundation: Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that is at work in us. Eph. 3:20, 21 Our Inspiration: God has the power to do more than what we ask of Him in prayer. Nothing is too hard for the Lord our God! No matter how difficult it seems to us God can handle it! He will do it through our connection to His Holy Spirit that is at work in each one of us! Let s be bold in our request of God today! Our Request: God we pray that you would lead more souls to Jesus Christ and New Horizons Church. Jesus, help us to expand the ministry and make current ministries even more effective for You. God grant us supernatural increase and favor in every area of our lives. Bless us spiritually, financially, emotionally and physically. Help us give all praise glory and honor to You for the great things You do in each of our lives! Our Expression: We express an attitude of Great expectation of God during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 10 Friday, February 27 Our Foundation: Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened to you. Matt 7:7 Our Inspiration: There is a blessing in being persistent and consistent in praying to the Lord. God promised to reward those who are diligent in praying to Him. Do not get weary fasting and praying. You are doing well! We will reap if we faint not! Keep believing that it will happen in God s timing and in God s way! Our Request: God we pray for our financial generosity and biblical stewardship of our resources. Lord, we pray for the insight and discipline to manage the resources You have given to us with biblical integrity. We pray that You will honor our giving and continue to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings we do not have room to receive. Lord, bless and encourage us to get out and stay out of debt. Help us honor You with our resources in Jesus Name! Our Expression: We express an attitude of anticipation of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 11 Saturday, February 28 Our Foundation: Call unto Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know Jer. 33:3 Our Inspiration: When we connect to God in prayer He will answer us and He has so much He wants to reveal to us! He will share some great and mighty things. He will show us answers, directions, ideas, strategies, plans, concepts and visions that we do not know! As we pray look forward to what God has to say and show us today! Our Request: Father we pray for the servant leaders in our ministry. God we thank you for their commitment to excellence in ministry. God we pray for their spiritual growth and development. We pray that you would give them wisdom to balance ministry, family and work. God give them supernatural inspiration in every area of their lives. Lord, pour into them as they pour into others. Lord help them connect to You and others today in a meaningful way. Our Expression: We express an attitude of confidence in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 12 Sunday, March 1 Our Foundation: Call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me. Psalm 50:15 Our Inspiration: When we get into trouble, we can and should call on the Lord. He will answer us, help us to get out of trouble and give us an opportunity to glorify Him! Our trouble is a set up for our testimony for God! Our Request: Father God, we fast and pray for the restoration of marriages and families within our ministry and in our community. May each husband love his wife as Christ loves the church. May each wife respect her husband. We ask that you will fortify husbands and wives so that they will be able to stand against the schemes of the enemy that seek to destroy the unions of marriage you have established. Our Expression: We express an attitude of adoration of God during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 13 Monday, March 2 Our Foundation: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you or forsake you. Deut. 31:6 Our Inspiration: God desires to be with us is our walk each and every day. When we are lonely, we have a God who is right there to come along side and comfort us in our times of loneliness. Our Request: Lord, today we pray for those who are single. God we pray they will experience your presence in their lives today in a very real and special way. We pray that they will remain content in You as their Father and their comforter. We ask God, that you would give them godly friendships and connections that will strengthen them and encourage them in their walk. Our Expression: We express an attitude of hope in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 14 Tuesday, March 3 Our Foundation: In the day when I cried out, you answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 Our Inspiration: God will hear us when we pray and give us strength and boldness in Him. Our Request: God strengthen us today during our time of fasting and praying to you. When we get weak today, we pray Your Holy Spirit would revive us and give us new found strength. When we get timid in our faith walk make us bold as a lion in Jesus name! Our Expression: We express an attitude of boldness in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 15 Wednesday, March 4 Our Foundation: I called on the Lord in distress. The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. Psalm 118:5 Our Inspiration: God has a place for each of us and He wants to set us up in that place! As we pray today be assured that God has not forgotten about where you are and He knows where He is going to take each of us. Our Request: Father, today we fast and pray for our church family! We intercede for New Horizons Church, Eastern Star Church and New Beginnings Fellowship Church, for this great body of believers and for expanding our territory. Thank you for divine connections in the Kingdom! Thank You for giving us our own building and place to minister to our community at 7315 E. 75 th St. Prosper us in this place! Our Expression: We express an attitude of Thanksgiving to God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 16 Thursday, March 5 Our Foundation: Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is who says to you give me to drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water John 4:10 Our Inspiration: Our connection to God means He is able to meet all of our personal and most pressing needs. We can go to God knowing He is able to supply what we need from Him.
Our Request: Father, today we fast and pray, seeking your guidance and blessing for our personal needs. Lord God, we know that your Word is true, that you will supply all of our needs according to your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Help us to stand in faith and to seek your kingdom and your righteousness so that all we need can be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Thank you in advance for all of your provisions! Our Expression: We express an attitude of dependency on God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 17 Friday, March 6 Our Foundation: He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and laid on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands and he stretched himself out on the child and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times and the child opened his eyes. 2 Kings 4:33-35 Our Inspiration: God wants to connect our children to Him so that they are alive to His presence in their lives. God will use us to get close to our children so they can come alive in God! Our Request: Father God, today we fast and pray for the ministries of our church that serve our Youth. Our desire is to continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children during our worship services and throughout the week. We thank you for the commitment of our staff and volunteer workers. We pray that every youth in our church will give their life to Jesus Christ and live wholly for Him! Our Expression: We express an attitude of desire of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 18 Saturday, March 7 Our Foundation: The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth Psalm 145:18 Our Inspiration: The Lord forgives us of all our sins! We simply must confess or agree with God about what we have done in His sight. In addition, we are required to forgive others who have sinned or committed an offense against us as well. Our Request: Lord, today we pray for forgiveness of our sins. We ask that you would cleanse our sin and purify us from all of our unrighteousness. We also ask that you help us to forgive others who have offended us. Lord, no matter what they have done allow our hearts to be open to forgive them even as You have forgiven us in Jesus name. Our Expression: We express an attitude of forgiveness in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 19 Sunday, March 8 Our Foundation: And whatever we ask we receive from Him because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 3:22 Our Inspiration: Our children are a gift to us from the Lord. We love them and are covering them in prayer all day today. Our Request: We fast and intercede for the children, youth, and teens within our church and in our communities. Please convict our hearts to reach out to them and pray for them continuously. May we also love and nurture them unconditionally. Empower us to teach them spiritual truths so that they will know the fullness
of you and have complete understanding; in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Jesus Christ. We cancel every assignment and tactic of the enemy, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Our Expression: We express an attitude of joy of the Lord God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 20 Monday, March 9 Our Foundation: If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it will be done for you. John 15:7 Our Inspiration: We can be confident that God will bless us during our time of prayer and fasting today. As we connect to His word, He has promised to bless according to our desires from His word. Our Request: Lord God, today we earnestly pray for lost souls in our families and in our community. May we be empowered by the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him for the forgiveness of their sins. Show us opportunities to share your love with those around us; those we know and those we do not. Empower us as a church to lift up the name of Jesus so that the entire world will hear and be saved. Our Expression: We express an attitude of compassion of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 21 Tuesday, March 10 Our Foundation: O Lord our God, as for all the abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all belongs to you. (1 Chronicles 29:16). Our Inspiration: We know that God will supply provision where He has given vision! We believe God to supply the gifts that we are committed to giving to Him. Our Request: We fast and pray for our Growing in God, investing in the vision experience. Father, help us to complete the work our ministry has begun and to give our resources freely as unto you. Thank you for the vision of this ministry. Help us to get involved in this campaign and/or continue in obedience to our commitment to you. Our Expression: We express an attitude of generosity of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 22 Wednesday, March 11 Our Foundation: He said to them, Go to all the world and preach the good news to all creation (Mark 16:15). Our Inspiration: We have been commanded to share the gospel with the entire world! We should take advantage of every opportunity, great and small, to share our faith in Jesus Christ with those around us. Our Request: We fast and pray for our radio broadcast ministry. Father, we pray that you will bless all who serve faithfully in the Clear Word, Media and Intercessory prayer ministries. It is our desire is to obey the command from Jesus Christ and to be salt and light to the world with the True gospel. Draw the listeners into a personal relationship with you and connect them to a church where they can grow and develop in your Word! Our Expression: We express an attitude of partnership with God during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 23 Thursday, March 12 Our Foundation: Ask the Lord, the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field. (Matthew 9:38) Our Inspiration: God is still sending people into the Kingdom and we are excited about the harvest of souls in our city! We thank God for using us in His work and we look forward to Him sending others to work alongside us in ministry for Him. Our Request: Father we pray and thank you for the servant leaders in our ministry. We ask that you send other gifted and spirit-filled believers to join You where You are already working. We look forward to people discovering, developing and deploying their spiritual gifts in the kingdom and at New Horizons Church. Help to prepare our church and ministries for the harvest of souls You are planning to send. Our Expression: We express an attitude of honoring God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 24 Friday, March 13 Our Foundation: Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing songs. Is anyone sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Our Inspiration: God wants to heal those who are sick among us. As we pray we believe God s word that our prayers will make healing and forgiveness available to those we pray for today. Our Request: We fast and intercede for the Sick among us. The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness. (Psalm 41:3). We pray for healing and restoration for those who are sick and confined to their homes or hospitals. Help us to remember them always in prayer. Father, please provide the comfort and peace that only you can give. We believe that by Jesus stripes we are healed. Our Expression: We express an attitude of encouragement in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 25 Saturday, March 14 Our Foundation: So we fasted and entreated our God for this and He answered our prayer Ezra 8:23 Our Inspiration: God honors our prayers to Him when we fast and give up something physical for something spiritual. Our Request: Today we want to thank God for all the answers to our prayers He has already brought to pass during our 40 day Fresh Fire prayer and fast experience. We thank Him for the faith to continue in our time of seeking Him. We thank God for the answers that He is going to provide. Our Expression: We express an attitude of peace of God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 26 Sunday, March 15 Our Foundation: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. (Romans 8:15a) Our Inspiration: We are so grateful to God for the privilege to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.
Our Request: Father, we pray for Pastor Wiggins and all of the pastors and preachers of the gospel in our city and community. We pray for their strength, insight and power in preaching the good news today. We pray that souls will be saved and lives will be changed for You. Help us to be open to the truth of your Word today. We pray for the pastor s rest and restoration after ministering today. Pour back into them as they have poured into your people. Our Expression: We express an attitude of openness to God s will during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 27 Monday, March 16 Our Foundation: We do not have a priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16) Our Inspiration: Jesus is a High Priest that is touch by what we go through. He understands how we feel and knows how to comfort each of us in our trials and difficult times. Our Request: Father, we fast and intercede today for bereaved families. May your love surround them right now, in the Name of Jesus. May your Word bring comfort to hurting hearts and peace to troubled minds. May their mourning be turned into gladness and their weeping into joy. Our Expression: We express an attitude of humility in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 28 Tuesday, March 17 Our Foundation: You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your own pleasures James 4:3 Our Inspiration: We must be careful not to pray to get things just for our own pleasure and satisfaction. We are praying that God s will be done on earth as it is in heaven today! Our Request: We pray today that God would lead us away from temptation and to deliver us from evil desires. God we ask that You would reveal Your will for our lives and that our prayers would reflect Your plans. Our Expression: We express an attitude of hunger for God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 29 Wednesday, March 18 Our Foundation: Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 Our Inspiration: We put our faith in to action when we pray and help those who are less fortunate than we are in God. Our Request: Father, we fast and pray today for widows, the homeless and orphans. We pray that You will use us to be a blessing to them in so many ways today. Help us to be sensitive to where you are working and encourage us to join You in the work. Our Expression: We express an attitude of listening to God during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 30 Thursday, March 19 Our Foundation: Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle s. (Psalm 103:2-5) Our Inspiration: Our connection to God comes with divine benefits. God desires to see us healed of all diseases and afflictions. As we pray today, we thank God and believe Him to heal us in every area. Our Request: Hear our prayer, O God, for the healing of illnesses and diseases among us. Jesus, we thank you today; you were pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon you and by your wounds, we are healed. God heal us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Thank you for divine healing in Jesus Name! Our Expression: We express an attitude of respect and reverence to God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 31 Friday, March 20 Our Foundation: Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains. (Psalm 107:13-14) Our Inspiration: There is power in the Name of Jesus to break every chain, break every chain! Our Request: Hear our prayer today as we fast for those battling with drugs, alcohol, food, gambling or other addictions. Father, we pray that as they cry out to you, you will heal them and save them from their distress and pain. We not only pray for the restoration of these persons, but we also pray for their families. Please heal souls, bodies, minds and relationships in the Name of Jesus. Break every chain in the name of Jesus! Our Expression: We express an attitude of denial of self during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 32 Saturday, March 21 Our Foundation: I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one. Father, just as you are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:20-21) Our Inspiration: We are connected to God and are a part of His family. God is calling us to be unified in Him. We are excited about our fellowship with Christ and with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Our Request: Lord we pray for unity in the body of Christ and in the New Horizons Church. Lord, help us to work together in love and unity of the Spirit. Help us to avoid arguments and strife in the church. We thank you for resolving conflicts and settling disputes quickly. Lord help us to forgive others even as you have forgiven each of us in Jesus Name! Our Expression: We express an attitude of unity in Christ during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 33 Sunday, March 22 Our Foundation: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me, and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 29:11-13). Our Inspiration: Our God is a BIG God and He has BIG plans for each of us individually and collectively. Let s believe God for BIG THINGS today! Our Request: Father, we pray and believe you for BIG things today. We confess that you are Lord and You are able to answer every prayer no matter how small or big it may be. Today we believe You for Big things in our families, on our jobs, in ministry and in our future. Please reveal the plans You have for us and help us to walk in your ways. Blessed are they who keep His statutes and seek him with all their hearts. Our Expression: We express an attitude of fellowship in Christ during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 34 Monday, March 23 Our Foundation: I urge, then, first of all that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4) Our Inspiration: We know God is in complete control of everything. We trust that He will guide the hearts and minds of leaders everywhere so that we can accomplish His will in the earth. Our Request: God today we pray for the leadership of our Nation and President Obama. We pray for leaders around the world that there may be peace in the world and that Your name Jesus would be spread to every person. We pray that people would hear and receive the gospel message and turn to Jesus for salvation. Lord we also pray for leaders in our local area that they would hear your voice and operate according to Your will. Our Expression: We express an attitude of trust in God during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 35 Tuesday, March 24 Our Foundation: If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. (Matthew 16:24-25). Our Inspiration: The Lord specializing in helping lost people find their way in life! God wants us to find true life, real life, eternal life in Him today! Our Request: Father God, as we fast and pray today, our desire is to be your Disciples, committed to equipping believers, enriching persons, evangelizing people and edifying missions; thus we support the vision of New Horizons church. As we recommit to the vision You gave Pastor Wiggins. Help us to find life and life more abundantly in You today. Help us lead others to You so they too can become your disciples! Our Expression: We express an attitude of joy in Christ during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 36 Wednesday, March 25 Our Foundation: All these were men who were under the supervision of their fathers for the music of the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, lyres and harps, for the ministry at the house of God. (1 Chronicles 26:6).
Our Inspiration: We are created to give God praise and worship! Our Request: Lord, bless the Worship Arts ministry at New Horizons Church. Bless them as they usher us into your presence this week in worship. Fill them with your Holy Spirit and encourage us to join them in praising You! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Our Expression: We express an attitude of worship to the Lord during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 37 Thursday, March 26 Our Foundation: Behold how good and pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133:1) Our Inspiration: God desires to see us in unity with other churches and believers. Our Request: Father God, we pray prayers of Thanksgiving for the favor you have shown to New Horizons Church, New Beginnings Fellowship Church and Eastern Star Church. We thank You for Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Pastor James A. Jackson and Pastor Eric L. Wiggins and their unity in the gospel. We thank you for our church family and fellowship in the kingdom. Lord continue to help us be a light to the world and salt in the earth. Our Expression: We express an attitude of faith to the Lord during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 38 Friday, March 27 Our Foundation: But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) Our Inspiration: God rewards those who believe He exist and who diligently seek Him! Do not stop believing in God! Our Request: We pray and believe that the Lord God is real and we believe He will reward us for our diligence in fasting and praying to Him these past 37 days. We still expect a great move from you God and will praise You in advance. Lord, reward us according to your riches in heaven by Christ Jesus! Our Expression: We express an attitude of obedience to the Lord during our time of fasting and prayer today. Day 39 Saturday, March 28 Our Foundation: After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the Word of God boldly. (Acts 4:31) Our Inspiration: God wants to fill us with His Holy Spirit so that we will speak his Word and do his will with boldness. Our Request: Lord, please bless the Fresh Fire prayer and fast experience of our church. Create a culture of prayer in every area of our ministry and our personal lives. Convict our hearts, O God, that we will be more of a House of Prayer. Fill us with prayers of worship, praise, intercession and petition that are in accordance with your will for our lives, our church, our community and the world. God allow us to speak to You and to hear You when you speak to us in prayer. Our Expression: We express an attitude of thirst for God during our time of fasting and prayer today.
Day 40 Sunday, March 29 Our Foundation: For no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ. And so through Him the Amen is spoken to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20) Our Inspiration: We know God is going to fulfill every promise He made to us in His Word! We thank God for the promises He has already brought to pass. We look forward to what He is going to do even after the Fresh Fire and Connecting with God for 40 days. Our Request: God thank You for this time of Fresh Fire prayer and fasting experience and connecting to You for 40 days! We pray You have been pleased with our fast and we know You have heard us during our time of prayer. Thank You, Lord, for hearing and answering our prayers during this season. As we have followed in the footsteps of Jesus, we have experienced great and marvelous things. We are not the same as we were when we started and for this, we thank and praise Your Name! Thank You for Connecting with us individually and corporately as a body of believers! Our Expression: We express an attitude of Thanksgiving the Lord during our time of fasting and prayer today.
