Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church Weekend of March 11-13, 2017 Welcome! It is a joy to have you with us today and it is our prayer that you are strengthened and uplifted through our worship and fellowship. We especially welcome those visiting. Please pick up information about our church at the kiosk located in the entry. Also, please take time after the service to introduce yourself to our pastor. We would like to get to know you better. A Prayer in Preparation for Worship O Lord our Maker, Redeemer, and Comforter we are assembled in your presence to hear your holy Word. We pray that you would open our hearts by your Holy Spirit, that through the preaching of your Word we may repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and grow day by day in grace and holiness. Amen. From the Pastor We all have day to day habits in our personal lives. The good habits result in peacefulness and well being for our own bodies and those around us, and the bad habits can hurt our bodies and those around us. Some habits can be explained and rationalized; other habits are beyond explanation and just part of who we are. Our current series is titled, Spiritual Habits for Ordinary People. But these spiritual habits are not based on our own personal preferences, they are the loving actions and reactions of the Christian who daily wants to thank a gracious and loving God. They are the result of a strong faith in Jesus and a rich way to keep Christ in focus in our modern world. As we study these six habits week to week, some may seem more difficult than others. Be assured that we have help! We have a heavenly Father who sees us, who longs to draw close to us in his Word, and who continually gives grace to carry out these disciplines. Holy Spirit, power divine, fortify this will of mine; Bend it to your own pure will, all my life with graces fill. (Hymn 166, Lutheran Worship) In Service to Christ, Rev. Brian A. Krueger

Our school received $1,803 in Thrivent funding in 2016 through Choice Dollars. All 2016 Choice Dollars have been made available for members to direct so there is no reason to wait. Call 1 800 847 4836 and when prompted, say Thrivent Choice. Then press 1 to direct Choice Dollars to our church or school. Thank you! Update from the Building Committee Chair Plans for our new building are coming along. Soon we will have construction documents and will be getting bids. Then we will be sharing the complete building plan and will be asking the congregation to approve the building of our new dedicated sanctuary and additional space. If approved, construction will start in late spring. Please visit bllh.org/building committee for additional information. We are still about $1,000,000 short of our total needs to complete this project. The plan is to continue to raise additional funds. Whatever money is not raised prior to starting construction will be secured through a short term construction loan until enough money can be raised. Your time, talents and treasures are needed. I want to thank everyone that has called or emailed me with questions on how they can help with the construction of our new building. Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church Building Committee Chair Kevin Laleman klaleman@gmail.com or 952 956 2155 Offering Envelopes for 2017 are available in the church entry. Even though you may use online giving, we ask that you still pick up your box of contribution envelopes. The boxes contain envelopes for special holidays. If your envelopes are not at the correct site, please write your name on the sheet located near the contribution envelopes.
