Revelation Ch. 11 1 of 9 Revelation Chapter 11 Being the last book in the Bible, the book of Revelation is the big finale and it is assumed that we have read and understand the preceding books of the Bible. It is assumed that you will understand certain topics and doesn t take the time to review everything. It does refer back to them at times and this is one of those occasions. Solomon built the first Temple on Jerusalem s Mt. Moriah in 1050 BC, 400 years later the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 586 BC. 70 years after the beginning of the first invasion in 536 BC the Temple is rebuilt under the order of Persian King Darius. The third Temple, was not really a new temple but a remodel of the 2 nd by Herod the Great in 20 BC. This is the Temple that Jesus referred to when He said that not two stones would be left together. We are waiting for the building of the 4 th Temple. Daniel ch. 9-70 weeks: Prophecy from the time that the commandment would go forth to restore and rebuild Jerusalem (from the Babylonian captivity) to the coming of the Messiah would be 69 weeks of years, or 483 years. Read Daniel 9:24-27 Daniel 9:24-27 Daniel 9:25 from the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:1-8) on 3/14/445 BC. To the coming of the Messiah would be 69 weeks of years. (Jewish Vs Babylonian calendars) or 483 years. 173,880 days later on 4/6/32 Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey being proclaimed as King by the people. In Daniel chapter 9 the angel told Daniel that 70 weeks of years were determined against the nation of Israel. 69 of these weeks have been fulfilled with the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. There is still one 7-year period, a week of years still to be fulfilled the tribulation period. Jesus said that when we saw the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet that they were to run not walk and get out of Jerusalem. Matthew 24:15-20 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

Revelation Ch. 11 2 of 9 For there to be an abominations of desolations there needs to be a Temple to desecrate, and an Anti-Christ to desecrate it. This cannot happen until after the rapture because the Holy Spirit through the church is hindering the work of the enemy. Temple mount is sacred to Jews, Christians, and Moslems. The messiah (false) will broker a deal that will allow the re-building of the Temple and set the stage for all these events. Ezekiel 42:20 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place. Ezekiel 42:20 says that they will build a wall between the sanctuary and the profane place. The Bible tells us what is going to happen. The Dome of the Rock & Al Aqsa Mosque are on the Southern end of the temple mount and take up about half the space, or the area that would have been the court of the gentiles. The Northern area is flat bedrock, which many experts think was the original location for the Holy of Holies in the temple of Solomon. So it would all fit if they drew a line, built a fence, and left out the court of the gentiles. V: 1 Rod = 9 ft. long. = 6 cubits ; a cubit was the distance from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger which on average was about 18 inches. Hebrews 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, see saith He, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. The eartly Temple, is a heavenly shadow of things to come. (Hebrews 10:10, 14, 18.) V: 2 This wall reminds us that we are called to be separate: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Revelation Ch. 11 3 of 9 Even though there is that separation, judgment begins in the house of God. 1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? Ezekiel 9:4-6 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. Time of the Gentiles: Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (1967, six day war) V: 3 I will give power to My two witnesses, answers the question about who the big angel is in Ch. 10. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Two witnesses: Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. Transfiguration: Matthew 17:3 Mark 9:2-4 (Moses & Elijah) Resurrection: Luke 24:4 John 20:12 (2 angels) Ascension: Acts 1:10 (2 angels) Who are these two witnesses? One of them is Elija Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Revelation Ch. 11 4 of 9 Matthew 17:11 Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. Who is #2? Enoch? Moses? Joshua? Zerubbabel?? 1, 260 days = 3 ½ years. Clothes in sackcloth (& ashes) = bad news. V: 4 Takes us back to Zechariah Ch. 4; Zechariah s dream about re-building the Temple. A huge pile of rubble. His dream was of two olive trees feeding the menorah continually and the Lord speaking to him saying: Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. The meaning was clear that the mountain (of rubble) would be moved and the temple rebuilt but not by the might or power of men but by the Spirit of God. Here Jesus is speaking of the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord, and that they do so not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Lord. V: 5 Psalm 105:15 Saying touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 2 Kings 1:10-11 Ahaziah sent to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron. God spoke through Elijah is it because there is no God in Israel that you go to enquire of Baalzebub? Now therefore you will not come down from your bed, you will die. (Elijah) If I be a man of God then let fire devour 2 X s, then the 3 rd V: 6 As often as they will, their wills must have been lined up with that of God. In Jesus name, Amen. James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Revelation Ch. 11 5 of 9 V: 7 When they have finished their testimony Their mission / job, and only then. Over come them and kill them. Overcome only in the sense that they are killed. 1 Corinthians 15:55 Oh death where is thy sting, or grave where is thy victory? 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; for we walk by faith, not by sight: we are confident, I say and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed unto men once to die, then the judgement. Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. V: 8 Their dead bodies: Psalm 79:2-3 2 The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. 3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. Matthew 23:37-38 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her winds, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. Jerusalem is the only city that God calls His very own, now it is referred to as Sodom & Egypt. V: 9 The whole world sees their dead bodies. This would not have been possible prior to TV. In Israel, you are buried the same day you die. V: 10 These two witnesses are examples to us of what it will be like to be witnesses in the last days. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Mocked, ridiculed, left out, not invited, disrespected & disregarded.

Revelation Ch. 11 6 of 9 John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. V: 11 God give life, and God takes life He is sovereign, He is in control! Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with Me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand. Luke 21:26 Men s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. V: 12 Come up hither Their own personal rapture. Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in Heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. V: 13 There will be another earthquake in Revelation 16:18 the greatest ever seen. Galatians 6:7-8 6 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 7 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. V: 14 This marks the half way point in the great tribulation. Revelation 8:13, 9:12 the second woe is complete and we start the 3 rd. V: 15 The seventh trumpet / angel sounding will take us all the way to the end. The word kingdoms is actually singular in the Greek kingdom In the Greek, it is becoming, not become. Speaking of the future as though it had already happened. And He shall reign forever. This seventh trumpet signals the return of Jesus! Maranatha!

Revelation Ch. 11 7 of 9 Daniel 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Micah 4:7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. Matthew 6:9-10 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed by Thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. V: 16 Worshipped God. Cause and effect, they see the fruition of God s word and they worship Him. Revelation 5:14, 7:11 Again. Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. V: 17 God is from everlasting to everlasting. Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha & Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever. V: 18 And the nations were angry. Psalm 2 The whole Psalm. Thy wrath is come Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. The time of the dead judged. Those living in Christ have already been judged at Calvary. Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgement and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Revelation Ch. 11 8 of 9 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; Rewards / Judgement: Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Matthew 25:31-46 The separation of the sheep from the goats, when I was hungry you fed me, when I was thirsty. Two possible destinies. Life eternal or everlasting punishment. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment (bema) seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 every man s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Great White Throne judgment: Revelation 20:11-15 11 And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation Ch. 11 9 of 9 V: 19 Temple: Earthly temple Vs: Heavenly Temple. Hebrews 9:23-24 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy place made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Testament: Hebrews 8:8-13 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Judgments: Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Revelation.11
