Syllabus Contents and their objectives: August: Unit 1 (3) Cleanliness Pages:1819 Cleanliness Allah Almighty has commanded us to maintain cleanliness in everything, in every way. Cleanliness is an essential part of Islam. Children who keep themselves and their clothes clean and tidy please Allah Almighty and are loved by people. Instead of throwing rubbish everywhere put it in the dustbin. Keep the environment neat and clean. Clean environment will prevent diseases and keep us healthy. Allah says; Allah Almighty loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean. What happens when rubbish is thrown out on the streets? How can ablution help children to be neat and clean? Students will be asked to clean their classroom and tidy it up with the help of their teacher.

September: Unit 2 (2) Hospitality Pages: 2021 Hospitality Islam commands us to behave in a well mannered way with our guests. When guests arrive welcome them happily, sincerely and warmly. Ask about them and their family s welfare. Do not ever get busy with your own work in their presence. If they are staying at your home for a long time do not trouble them with your personal problems. Allah is the master of numerous qualities and characteristics. Allah has a different name to express every unique quality. Allah is the Provider and Sustainer of the whole Universe. Allah is the most Gracious and Merciful. Hadees. A person who memorizes the 99 names of Allah will go to Heaven. Allah Almighty said in Quran The most beautiful names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them. Why do we have descriptive names for Allah and how many are they? What are the descriptive names of Allah called and what does the name mean? Students will be asked to find 5 descriptive names of Allah with their meanings. Story of Prophet Younus (A.S) Story of Prophet Younus (A.S) Prophet Younus (A.S) was sent with a message to his people. Younus (A.S) ran away when people did not listen to him. People threw him out of the board. A big fish swallowed Younus (A.S) and he was sick at heart. After seeking forgiveness from Allah he came out and preached the oneness of Allah. Younus (A.S) was known as Zun nun means Man of the Fish. How did Hazrat Younus(A.S) came out of the stomach of fish? Narrate story of Hazrat Younus (A.S) briefly.

Pages: 2223 How to use other people s things If you need something from your friends or someone else, you must never take it without permission because it would be stealing. If you need something and someone has it take permission from that person to use it. Return it when your work is done. Say Jazak Allah on returning it. Model Questions. Students will be asked to make a chart and write how many times they took somebody s thing without permission. Unit 2 (4) Helping others Pages: 2425 Helping others If somebody is doing something and you join him to complete the job that is called helping. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) helped his companions during the Battle of Trench. He also used to help his neighbors by taking their goats to graze in fields. Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) used to fetch water for those women who had no one at home to help them. Hazrat Umar (R.A) carried a bag of flour on his back for a very poor family to their home. Helping friends in their studies, guiding younger brothers and sisters in their homework, helping mother in the house and carrying groceries from the market for your father all this is help. What did the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) do during the battle of Trench? How can children help others? In what ways did Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) and Hazrat Umar (R.A) help people? Students will be asked to write three tasks in which they can help people.

February: Unit 4 (3) Revered companions Pages: 3940 Revered companions Good friends of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are called Companions ( Sahaba e Karam) Sahaba is the plural of of Sahabi, it refers to those people who saw and knew Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as a Prophet, accepted him and died as Muslims. All companions loved the Prophet (PBUH) deeply and followed his teachings faithfully. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: My companions are like the stars in the sky. May Allah be pleased with them (R.A) is written and spoken after their names. Names of Companions: Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) Hazrat Umar (R.A) Hazrat Haris (R.A) Hazrat Usman (R.A) Hazrat Zaid (R.A) What are the friends of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) called? What did the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) say about his friends? Explain the meaning of the word Sahaba? Students will be asked to write the names of six companions of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) The great man in history ( Hazrat Abu bakr R.A) Great man in history (Hazrat Abu bakr R.A) Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) was the first caliph of the Muslims. His real name was Abdullah, his kuniyat was Abu Bakr and his title was Siddique. He was two years younger than the Holy Prophet (PBUH). His aim in life was to love and obey the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). After accepting Islam he sent all his stock and 40000 dirham to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the spread of Islam. He used to buy slaves and set them free. After the death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) he became the first caliph and ruled over two and a half years. He died on 22 nd Jamadi us sani and was buried in Masjid e Nabvi on the right side of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Model questsions. What kind of person was Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A)? Before the advent of Islam people of Arabia were caught up in all kinds of evil actions. Muhammad (PBUH) was sent by Allah as a Prophet to spread good and stop evil. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) learned trade from his uncle Hazrat Abu Talib. War of Fujjar broke out between the tribes of Quraish and Qais. First peace treaty (Hulf al Fazool) signed. Rebuilding of Kaaba Fixing of Black stone Hajr e Aswad. Marriage to Hazrat Khadija (R.A) What was Hulf al Fazool and what did it mean? How did Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) solve the dispute of fixing Hajr e Aswad? Students will be asked to write brief note on Hazrat Khadija (R.A) and Hazrat Abu talib (R.A) Story of birds and elephants. Story of Birds and Elephants Khana e Kaaba is the first house of Allah built by Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and his son. Abraha decided to attack Khana e Kaaba and destroy it. He gathered an army of hundreds of forces and elephants. Guardians of Kaaba prayed to Allah for help and to protect his house. Allah sent flock of birds with tiny stone in their beaks and claws. Birds flew over Abraha s army and dropped those stones. This injured and frightened the huge animals they rushed back towards their own army killing their own soldiers. Allah saved His house and after this Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. How did Allah save His house? Who wanted to destroy the Kaaba and why? Who built the Khana e Kaaba?
