Syllabus Contents and their objectives: August: Unit 1 (3) Speaking the truth Pages:24-25 Speaking the truth. We should speak truth because nobody likes a liar and Allah also dislikes lies. Our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a truthful man so people called him Sadiq. Meaning of Sadiq The truthful one Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)said Speaking truth is a good habit and good deeds take you towards Heaven. Benefit of speaking the truth Allah Almighty will be pleased. Everyone will respect us. Disadvantage of telling lies Allah will be angry with us. Nobody will respect or trust a liar. What is the meaning of Sadiq? Write the disadvantages of telling lies? Students will make a chart and will list down the number of times they spoke lies.

Wash your hands well before eating any thing Always eat with your right hand and recite Bismillah before eating. Finish the food in your plate and do not dip fingers in the food. Avoid making noises while chewing the food. Drink water with pauses and in three breaths. Do not belch loudly after eating. Say Alhamdulillah after finishing your food. Hadees. If a person wipes his plate clean, it prays May Allah save you from Hell. How should we drink water? What should we recite after finishing food? During lunch break these manners will be reinforced by observing and encouraging the students. Unit 1 (4) The angels. Pages: 16-17 The angels Who are angels? They are pure beings of Allah Almighty What are angels created from? They are created from Noor (light). Names of famous angels. Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) Hazrat Mikaeel (AS) Hazrat Izraeel (AS) Hazrat Israfeel (AS) Students will make a chart to note down the names of Angels with their duties. Duties of famous angels Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) carries Allah Almighty s messages to the Prophets. Hazrat Mikaeel (AS) delivers food to every living being and causes rain. Hazrat Izraeel (AS) takes the soul of human beings. Hazrat Israfeel (AS) will blow the (soor) on the Day of Judgment. Kiraman Katibeen records all the good and bad deeds of the human beings. Unit 4 (1) Prophet Nooh (AS) Pages: 31-32 Prophet Hazrat Nooh (AS) After Hazrat Adam (AS) people forgot his teachings and started worshiping idols. Then Allah sent Hazrat Nooh (AS) as a prophet to guide these people to the right path. Hazrat Nooh (AS) said O people worship only Almighty Allah otherwise you would get a very terrible punishment. He persisted and continued to invite people to only worship Allah for 950 years but people did not listen to him. When he lost hope, Allah commanded him to build an Ark. Then Allah Almighty ordered him get into the Ark with all the good people who are your faithful followers and take with you a pair of every kind of animal and bird. At the command of Allah Almighty the water started bubbling up from the Earth and all the disobedient people drowned. The Ark of Hazrat Nooh (AS) landed on a mountain called JUDI. March: Unit 4(2) The houseof Allah Almighty Pages: 35-36 The house of Allah Almighty. Kaaba is the first house of Allah Almighty. It is situated in the famous city of Makkah in Saudia Arabia. Kaaba was first built by Hazrat Adam (AS) but with the passage of time it was damaged and then Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and his son Hazrat Ismail (AS) rebuilt it. Kaaba is the largest place for offering prayers in the world. To visit the Kaaba and to pray in a special way is called Hajj. Hajj is performed on the 9 th Zilhajj, the Islamic month. On 10 th Zilhajj, Eid Al Azha is celebrated. Allah has commanded every muslim man and woman to perform Hajj once in a life time, after they have completed their wordly duties.
