Minutes of the Organization of the Sabbath School of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints affected at the house of Bro. Henry Price, P. O. Dudley, N.C. Sunday, June 6 th, 1897 Original in the possession of Lathan A. Wiggins of Mount Olive, NC. Photographed and transcribed by Lois Wiggins Price, Betty Wiggins and Kelly Wiggins. Note: In 2004 while we were inventorying and scanning the family history files of Lathan A. Wiggins of Wayne County, NC, we found an old, tattered 19 th century journal with loose pages of writing. Upon examination, we discovered that it was the history of the Mormon Church Sabbath School in Wayne Co, NC, from the beginning on June 6, 1897. Included at the back of the journal were minutes taken at later Sabbath School meetings. The contents of the journal were transcribed as they were written. There are duplicates of some of the pre-printed journal pages, so we suspect that there were two journals at one time. People mentioned in the document are listed in order of their appearance in the document. Use the Find feature of your computer to locate specific people. And bear in mind that the spelling of names is how it was written at the time.
