Tuesday, April 17, 2018 7:00pm - 8:30pm St. Mark Cenacle* Everyone is welcome!! Please join us for a seven-week series entitled Welcoming Catholics Home These seven consecutive Tuesday night sessions are for non-practicing Catholics who are seeking answers to questions about returning to the Church. If you know someone who has left the Church, please invite them to join us. For more information, please call Gemma at 317-694-4862 or Sherry at 317-743-8424. If no answer, call the Parish Center, 317-787-8246, Ext. 104. *The Cenacle is located behind St. Mark Catholic School. Faith Wisdom Service SACRAMENTAL PREP REMINDER: There will NOT be a meeting on Monday, April 9th due to Spring Break. Our next meeting will be Monday, April 23rd at 7:00pm in the church. CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION FOR BAPTIZED ADULTS Archbishop Charles Thompson extends an invitation to any baptized Catholic adult who wishes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation to the annual Adult Confirmation taking place on Sunday, May 20, 2018. If you are a member of St. Mark parish and have not been confirmed because you may have moved from one parish to another and missed parts of a preparation program or perhaps, as a teenager, you did not feel ready for the Sacrament.; some may have simply fell through the cracks. Those who have been catechized as adults are active in parish life, often in leadership roles and possibly even in liturgical ministry roles. For more information and to register, please contact Fr. Bill, frbill@stmarkindy.org or Angi Swiezy, aswiezy@stmarkindy.org or 317-787-8246 x104. THANK YOU: Thank you to the following ministries for hosting our Lenten Way of the Cross: Spiritual Life Committee, Sister Circle, SMRE, Welcoming Catholics Home and Youth Ministry. We appreciate you sharing your time and talent with St. Mark! I think we too are the people who, on the one hand, want to listen to Jesus, but on the other hand, at times, like to find a stick to beat others with, to condemn others. And Jesus has this message for us: mercy. I think and I say it with humility that this is the Lord's most powerful message: mercy. Pope Francis Homily on March 17, 2013

The Kairos prison ministry could be the answer. The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men. On April 19-22, 2018, an ecumenical team of men will provide a weekend retreat to the Edinburgh Minimum Security Prison. St. Mark will have three parishioners participate in this weekend. You can participate by signing up on the prayer chain to pray during the weekend, bake cookies that will be on the tables throughout the weekend, donate money that will cover the cost of food (meal tickets), or attending the closing ceremony on Sunday. If you wish to volunteer or want more information, please contact Rod Neeson, 812-243-1431 or neesonwth@aol.com.
