CELEBRATION OF THE LITURGY THEME: A Time To Build Entrance Hymn: (congregation) Now Thank We All Our God 1. Now thank we all our God, With heart and hands and voices, Who wondrous things hath done, In whom his world rejoices. Who from our mother's arms Hath blessed us on our way With countless gifts of love, And still is ours today. 2. Praise we our God with joy, And gladness never ending, Angels and saints with us Their grateful voices blending. His is a Father's care; His is a parent's love; His graces without end, He showers from above. 3. All praise and thanks to God, The Father now be given, The Son, and Spirit blessed Who reign in highest heaven; Eternal, Triune God, Whom earth and heaven adore; For thus it was, is now And shall be evermore. Gloria -- Glory to God in the highest, and peace to h is people on earth. Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world : have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father, Amen.
First Reading: From Acts 2: 1-11 Responsorial Psalm: Response: Lord, Send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth. Second Reading: From Cor.I,12:3 7 Gospel of John 20: 19-23 Baccalaureate Address - Reverend David F. Noonan Creed -- We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven : by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose aga in in fulfillment of the Scriptures. he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets, We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the I ife of the world to come. Amen. Offertory Petitions: Please, espond: Lord, hear our prayer. A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep. CH : 2. A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather... stones... together. CH : 3. A time of war, a time of peace A time of love, a time of hate A time you may embrace, A time to refrain... from embracing. CH: 4. A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time of love, a time of hate A time of peace... I swear it's not too late. CH : Make me a Channel of Your Peace - Congregation 1. Make me a channel of your peace Where there is hatred, let me bring your love. Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord. And where there's doubt, true faith in you. 2. Make me a channel of your peace. Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope. And where there's sadness ever joy. 3. Oh, Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand. To be loved as to love with all my soul. 4. Make me a channel of your peace It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. I n giving to all men that we receive, And in dying that we're born to eternal life. The Season Song.. Group Solo Recessional -- Alleluia - Thompson Choral Society
