November 26, 2017 Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers, you did for me MATTHEW 25:40 Most of us are generous when it s convenient for us. We are generous when we have the time or the money. But, generosity is the opposite of that. It means giving of one s time, money, compassion, forgiveness or mercy when it s not convenient; when it s not on our schedule, but on the other person s schedule. By concluding the year with this feast we are proclaiming our faith that Jesus Christ is the one and only king over all seasons, all peoples, and all of creation. At the end of time as we know it, Christ s work of restoring all things to unity and harmony with their Creator God will be completed. This Sunday, when we claim Christ as both our Shepherd and our King, we recognize our own calling to participate in Christ s saving work by caring for those whom Jesus calls the least ones (Matthew 25:45). Wednesday 11/29 Eric Gauge Saturday 12/ 2 +Joseph Hickey +Christopher Smith A Christmas Pasadas The Posadas (Spanish for the inns ), is an Advent-time event, (traditionally held from December 16 and ending on December 24, rather being held in homes, can be held in the church, or into a one-time procession which starts at a nearby home (or homes) and concludes at the church. The whole congregation, as well as neighbors and friends, are invited to participate. The participants are divided into two groups, with one half (the pilgrims) gathering outside the church or social hall while the other half (the inkeepers) wait inside. The song can be sung in English or, even better, in both English and Spanish. The song ends with the pilgrims entering the inn to a joyous welcome. If you would you like to participate in the first Christmas Posada at SBCC please contact Veronica at 405-246 -8341 or Polo al 912-202- 3746. Si deseas participar en la primer Posada Navideña celebrada en SBCC ponte en contacto con Veronica al 405-246 -8341 o con Polo al 912-202- 3746 Barren Tree The Barren Tree set up in the St. Boniface Hall, there are 220 tags for children ages Infant through 10 years. The maximum amount for these gifts should be $8.00. These gifts will go to the needy in our community.
