Every gift will help rebuild or save a life that s been effected by all of the overwhelming days ahead of the victims. Monthly Mission Two Ways to Give This month our Noisy Can missions collections will go toward two different things. First, Zion United Methodist s Community Thanksgiving meal to which all our invited! Second, to the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS). The Pet Shelter relies heavily on donations to help animals in need. The shelter strives to make sure animals will find a permanent loving home-something all pets deserve. You can learn more about this community ministry by visiting: wwwmarshfieldpetshelter.org Women of Wesley Care Packages Golden Agers Family Traditions Belonging. Some of us read that word and feel connected and safe. We know we are a member of a tribe either a family or community (for some folks, their friends are their community)- and our participation in traditions comes naturally. But for others of us, the word belonging conjures up nothing but feelings of aloneness and vulnerability. Wouldn t it be great to break the cycle and establish family traditions for our future generations? Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. (Ephesians 2:20) In order for our society to create an environment where our children thrive as part of a greater family unit, grandparents are essential. Our mobile culture, with families on the move and the shall disagreements with extended family, is robbing our children of the one thing they need more than anything else: to belong. How can you help those you love feel like they belong today? The college year has begun! It s that time for Wesley to prepare to send out care packages to our students. These packages remind them of their family back home, and that they are loved. There will be collection spots around Wesley for you to bring snacks, stamps/paper, pudding whatever would be a nice treat or need for a college student. Thank you for your support in this ministry of Wesley. We will put the packages together on Sunday, October 22nd after morning worship. All are invited to participate.
