FMBC News MAY, 2018 Helping People to Know Christ and Live for Christ VOLUME 3, NUMBER 4 Meet the McAlisters! Saturday April 28 at 5:30 pm at the CLC Y all Come! Pastor Matt, Mrs. Shannon; Megan, Nate, Judah, Carter and Katie Beth My family is thankful for all that Foreman Memorial Baptist Church has done to welcome us! I know that the Lord has called us here to be a blessing to the church, community, and to the nations. Some would say that this is a small church, but we serve a big God. He views every church as a big church that can glorify His name! Just as the church has welcomed my family, we will open our arms to the community munity as well. The Apostle Paul said in Romans 13:8 "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." Love will be the motivat motivation behind everything the church does for the community. c Out of gratitude for what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross for our sins, we should also be motivated to tell others that He welcomes sinners to come to repentance repentance.. Are you ready to welcome more people? I am ready and we can in Chris Christ! - Pastor Matt
Welcome to FMBC! The members of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church welcome Pastor Matt, Shannon and the children to our church and to New Ellenton. They had a very exciting trip from Texas to South Carolina last week and we are grateful that they are safely home. We are blessed that God has chosen them lead and to serve with us and look forward to all that God is doing. Pray that we are obedient servants, all, and prepared through prayer for what is to come next. The next meeting of Women on Mission will be Monday, May 14 at 6:00 pm at Irene Hawley s home just off Eagle Road (formerly White Pond Road going toward Cedar Creek). Her address is in the church directory. All ladies are encouraged to attend. 2
Baby Bottle Campaign FMBC supports the Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center in Aiken year round, and the Women on Mission discussed joining in with their Baby Bottle Campaign coming up soon. Life Choices PCC is committed to providing these services to the community: Saving lives of unborn babies, equipping & educating mothers and fathers to be caring parents, free pregnancy testing, counseling/support, purity teaching and material resources. They are only able to continue their work because of the generous donations of concerned churches, individuals, families and fundraisers. We can help by filling baby bottles (they are providing) with coins, cash or checks, and returning them to FMBC; whichh we will give to them. They recommend starting the campaign on Mother s Day, May 13 and ending on Father s Day, June 17. Thank you for considering participation in this change for change opportunity.
