Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church The Way of the Kingdom is the Way of the Cross. We are thankful that you have chosen to spend March 4, 2018, with us, celebrating the third Sunday of Lent.
Rest In Peace Our sincerest sympathies go to the family and friends of Clara A. Lauro. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. The Altar Breads & Wine for this week were donated in loving memory of George Finn You shall not carve idols for yourselves in the shape of anything ~ Exodus 20:4 How many gods do you put before God? Idols do not always take the shape of physical things, things we can touch and feel. Those are easy to recognize. Many times they take the form of things we cannot touch and are much harder to spot like pride, power, ego, time, comfort or health. The Narrow Gate Continuing Education for Adults This week we will be exploring The Cross and the Beatitudes. Join us on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30AM in room #3 of the parish center. Please call Barbara at 819-5134 for more information. Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it. ~ Matthew 7:13-14 FRIDAYS DURING LENT at 8:00AM and 4:30PM in the Chapel. The Way of the Kingdom is the Way of the Cross My sheep hear My voice, I know them and they follow me. ~ Jesus Christ CHRISTIAN PASSOVER SERVICE The festival of the Passover has been celebrated by the Jewish people for thousands of years. It is the retelling of the great story of how God redeemed the Jewish nation from enslavement in Egypt. It was during a Passover Seder that Jesus proclaimed that the meal represented Himself and that He was instituting the New Covenant, the Eucharist. The 6th grade Faith Formation class will be holding a Christian Passover Service on Wednesday, March 21st at 7:00PM in the parish center, room #3. (This is a Service, NOT a meal.) If you would like to attend, please contact Barbara by March 16th at 819-5134 or by email at balvarez@saintmichaelchurch.org. What a great way to honor those who have or are currently serving! Boy Scouts will be available at all the Masses this weekend to answer your questions and take orders. Order forms can also be completed and dropped in the offertory basket or at the parish office. If you prefer, you can go to www.bricksrus.com/donorsite/eagleproject, and order online.
