A Letter from the Director Dear Partner, We want to take this time, as the Management Team Leadership within Favor of God, to thank each of you, partners and friends, from the bottom of our hearts for making this vision a reality. Partnership is teamwork, and with the strength of teamwork, "We can do together what we could never do alone." We also believe that in the strength of united vision and effort, "To go fast, you may go alone, but to go far, you must go together." And truly we have gone far, as a result of going together!!! So, we thank each one of you who have knit your hearts, dreams, talents, gifts, and resources together to build and restore the villages and communities we work in, within northern Uganda and South Sudan and beyond. It is because of you that we are here serving and because of your love and sacrifices that we, too, keep on giving. Prayer, commitment, and a deep love for God, His Church, and His power to change and transform the communities around us, motivate us to serve above and beyond. The fulfillment of seeing growth and progress is exhilarating, the fruitfulness abundant, the changes of transformation radical, the dreams fulfilled are a blessing, and the final rewards are eternal. You are part of all of this with us! As we continue to move together to see the Favor of God vision of "The Church united and commissioned for bringing sustained, transformational revival to all areas of life - spiritual, moral, social, and academic - in northern Uganda and throughout Africa," may each one of you be strengthened in that pursuit along with us. We are working together as a team to see nations transformed by transforming one heart at a time... One life at a time. Carole Ward Director Favor of God Ministries 2 P age

favour africa - south sudan South Sudan has had the longest guerrilla war on the continent of Africa, with over fifty years of bloodshed and over five million people killed. Homes have been destroyed, families ripped apart, children orphaned and left innocent victims of this horrific fighting. Churches have been burned by opposition forces in antagonism against Christianity. There is a tremendous need for God s Word and a living hope to reach into every village and life of South Sudan. In response to this great need, Favour Africa was established, and our hearts have been united with believers in this new nation to see salvation enter every region, bringing truth and God's righteousness, which is necessary to exalt a nation. This year we have seen God do some amazing things! New Rumbar Land New Rumbar is a residential site 15 kilometers west of the capital city of Juba and is mainly populated by civilians who fled from the war in Greater Upper Nile and by refugees from Sudan. This year, Favour Africa's property in New Rumbar has undergone a lot of development to help support this population! This year we saw: A new well constructed to provide safe drinking water Our Basic School celebrate its grand opening with 100 students and 8 teachers A temporary church structure completed and housing a congregation of 100 new believers every Sunday. In 2017 we plan to: Build a Hope Center for feeding and training children Complete a permanent church structure Construct a Bible school dormitory Hold the grand opening of our Favour FM radio station 5 P age
Bible College We've also targeted 2017 as a year to open our new Bible College in South Sudan, in order to begin our Evangelism and Discipleship initiative. Our vision is to train 50 pastors: 5 from each of the 10 states in South Sudan. We will bring them to our campus on New Rumbar for 5 months of intensive Bible teaching to receive the full training and equipping necessary to return home and immediately plant a church. With that church plant, they will begin teaching and training new believers in the Word of God to also go and multiply. RADIO Progress on South Sudan's first 24/7 Christian radio station is well underway! This year Diguna Radio in Kenya built us two 75 meter radio towers to broadcast our signal throughout the entire capital city and beyond reaching 7 million listeners directly and indirectly. These towers are ready to be shipped to Juba. The radio station office is now operational with one radio manager, one administrator, and supporting staff and the equipment needed to broadcast. In 2017, with your help, we will be on the air! Pictured below: (Top) Radio Station Offices Exterior (Bottom Left) Radio Station Offices Lobby. Missions in South Sudan In 2016, we conducted 7 crusades in different areas within the capital city of Juba. 700 became believers! Our discipleship and Portable Bible Schools had 50 participants. We also held 6 pastors conferences in different churches with 50-100 pastors in attendance at each. We also conducted hospital missions in partnership with Samaritan's Purse, teaching cleft lip surgery. 120 people were saved through this outreach, most of whom were Muslims from the Southern Blue Nile, Nuba Mountain, and Kordofan regions as well as Western Sudan. We received 2 new motorcycles this year that greatly assisted in these outreaches! PRAYER In 2015, we held a week-long national gathering in Juba to pray for repentance, restoration, and renewal in the nation. People from all levels of society and all denominations attended and wept for revival. Since then, we have been flooded by requests from pastors and government leaders alike for more prayer to be organized in the city and in each of South Sudan's 10 states. Our goal in 2017, in response to this, is to establish a 24/7 House of Prayer in the city. 7 P age
RURAL EDUCATION & Empowerment program community Development model The Favor of God Ministries model of Community Revitalization has been informed by our work in Uganda and South Sudan since 2004. We have refined our model as we came to understand how to affect change within in war-torn regions. More than 38,000 people impacted by our trauma counseling services have allowed us to discover a path toward individual healing, forgiveness, and hope. This renewed mindset can be paired with evangelism and discipleship training, leadership training, and continued mentoring to develop indigenous leaders that are equipped to fulfill The Great Commission and radically improve the economic, health, and family dynamic conditions within their own village. Our process begins with meeting village leaders to obtain their support and to schedule a threeday evangelistic outreach. The outreach yields a new body of believers and an ongoing prayer community. Next, the new believers are engaged in training and discipleship through our twomonth Portable Bible School process, which includes: health education, trauma counseling, youth development, women's empowerment, and vocational training. The construction of a church in the village gives the community a hub space to further spiritual, health, and economic development activities. Finally, ongoing mentoring continues for at least one year to guide and sustain village progress in their continued development. 8 P age
