As a part of the The Oppressed World, the students at HBI come with only the clothes on their backs from extremely remote, impoverished, war-torn villages. They are unfamiliar with any modern conveniences you and I take for granted, such as electricity, beds, tap water, showers, and yes, flush toilets. There are many challenges in running a school for the Persecuted Church in Burma, but CFI is committed to helping the persecuted learn to help themselves based on the Scripture standard of 2 Thess. 3:8-12. This is why we are training our students with valuable skills so that they can help support themselves, their families, and their local churches, as expressed in our school motto, Enter to learn.
