Reiki Attunement with Larissa Dahroug FAQ What is an Attunement? An Attunement is the process of learning to be a Reiki Practitioner through training and a sacrament with a Reiki Master/Teacher. It truly is an initiation where you will open all of your being and channel the Reiki energy to help heal yourself and others. Attunements are all very personal, unique and profound and will shift your vibration into high gear. Many people have very powerful experiences during their Attunements such as: release of pain or trauma held in the physical body, mental body and/or emotional body, the ability to forgive and release grudges or negative thought patterns and addictions and/or an overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude. How many Attunements should I get? You may receive as many Attunements as you like in this life time. However, if you have never received an Attunement in this incarnation you must receive them in a specific order: Reiki I, Reiki II, Reiki Master, Reiki
Master/Teacher. You do not have to do them all. Some people choose to only receive the first Reiki Attunement and none of the others. This will be up to you. Your highest self will let you know what your personal Reiki path is. What is the difference between the different Attunements? Depending on the lineage and the teacher, there are many different Reiki Attunements. Larissa is schooled in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki tradition and offers Reiki I, II, Master and Teacher Attunements. The Reiki I Attunement is focused on self healing. After receiving your Reiki I Attunement you will feel a very pronounced shift in your energetic, spiritual and physical body. It is not unusual to come down with a cold or other short term illness after receiving the Reiki I Attunement. This is because the Attunement forces the body into a detox. Even if you do not experience physical illness you will most likely experience a cleanse in some way either through vivid dreams, more frequent elimination, draining sinuses, etc. The cleanse is temporary and can last up to 2 weeks afterwards.
The Reiki II Attunement is focused on emotional and distance healing. You learn to send Reiki energy to heal those who are not physically present as well as specifically emotional situations. You will also receive your first Reiki symbols to work with. The body will go into detox after the Reiki II Attunement as well, but it usually less intense than after the Reiki I Attunement. The Reiki Master Attunement focuses on a strengthening of your connection to Reiki energy. You will receive a new symbol to work with that will help to magnify the energy which flows through you. It will also prepare you for receiving your Teacher Attunement should you desire to pass on the Reiki tradition to others. Finally, the Reiki Teacher Attunement further strengthens your connection to Reiki and certifies you to pass the Reiki tradition on through classes and Attunements. What is Reiki Lineage? Your Reiki lineage is your connection back to the original Reiki Master/Teacher, Dr. Usui. Larissa's lineage is as follows:
If you receive your Attunement from Larissa your name would appear under her name in the lineage. Where are the classes/attunements held? All classes, unless otherwise noted, are held at Larissa's home based Santa Rosa office. Once you are enrolled she will send you directions. How long are the classes?
All classes, unless other wise noted, begin at 10 am and end between 4 and 5 pm. What do I need to bring to class? a vegetarian side dish to share for lunch (Larissa will let you know how many people are attending before hand and will be providing a lovely vegtarian soup for the main dish) a writing utensil and notebook (Larissa will have a manual for you take home) slippers or comfy socks a sweater a picture or other item to place on the altar if you are allergic to kitties, something to ease your allergy symptoms (Larissa will have tissues and hand sanitizer available as well) if you have a Reiki/massage table let Larissa know as it may be helpful for you to bring it as well What should I wear to class? Wear comfortable clothing in layers. Avoid wearing heavy perfumes or mascara.
How do I enroll in and pay for my Attunement? To enroll in a Reiki class email or call Larissa directly. She can be reached at larissa.dahroug@gmail.com and/or 707-578-7986. Note that Reiki I is a mandatory prerequisite to enroll in Reiki II and a personal consultation/application interview with Larissa is required to receive Reiki Master and Reiki Master/Teacher Attunements. Payment for your class is due at the time of enrollment unless otherwise arranged with Larissa. Larissa accepts cash or in-state checks with valid ID. Checks should be made out to Larissa Dahroug. If you have financial need it may be possible to arrange a trade of product or services of equal value as payment. This is decided on a case by case basis by Larissa. If I need to cancel my enrollment can I get a refund? Larissa asks for a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel your enrollment in any Reiki class. If canceling, you will receive refund in full minus a $25 fee to cover the price of materials (the manual). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis in the case of illness or family emergency.
If a class is canceled by Larissa a full refund will be issued to all effected students and first priority will be given to these students in enrollment the next time the class is offered or rescheduled. Is there anything else I should know before receiving my Attunement? The week after your Attunement Larissa will send you your certificate proving your Attunement in the mail. Also know that you will be in a safe and supportive environment for your Reiki Attunement. It is a place where you will be able to share and grow without fear of judgement or ridicule. You will find that you are emotionally very 'tender' for a day or two after your Attunement and may want to schedule that to be time spent alone or only with close loved ones.
