THE PURSUIT INTERNSHIP 1 Dear Prospective Students, The Pursuit Internship was birthed out of a desire for deepening discipleship that our 3 day Pursuit Conference could not fully satisfy. This generation of followers of Christ are longing and desperate for encountering and knowing God s heart intimately. This is a generation who won t be satisfied with the status quo of Christianity and won t stop until they have God fully. Radical people need a radical pursuit which takes radical action. Mary of Bethany poured out her inheritance in a moment of worship. David poured out his heart and soul into an instrument of praise. John the baptist consecrated his life to be all about preparing the way of the coming King. The Pursuit Internship is for these type of people. People who are willing to give their lives in radical Pursuit of God and won t stop until they have Him. It is for people who desire to see the manifest power of God come into conflict not only with their own lives but also with all those around them. It is for those who long and desire to make His name great among the nations. The Pursuit Internship is for those who violently refuse to conform to the normal flow of our culture and instead choose to stand in the gap as burning and shining lamps. It is for the pioneers who will carry the sword into the jungle of sin and blaze a trail that raises a standard of holiness for those around them. It is for the believers who desire to live a true and Biblical lifestyle, filled with the glory, power, and presence of God, that shows a life returning to the simplicity of devotion. It is for those who desire to carry a glorious display of God s power in a generation that they were born in. MISSIONS STATEMENT 2 The Global Prayer House is the host and the founders of The Pursuit Conference, Marketplace Summit, Worship Events & Pursuit Schools. The Global Prayer House is a mission s base located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The Global Prayer House has powerful events, schools and teams that make up the missions base. The focus is built from Isaiah 56:7; My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. The Global Prayer House is an evangelical missions organization that is committed to praying for the release of the fullness of God s power and purpose as we actively win the lost, heal the sick, feed the poor, make disciples and impact the seven spheres of society (family, education, government, economy, arts, media, religion). ENDORSEMENTS 4 God is converging Missions and Prayer all over the world. One of the places on earth is at the Global Prayer House Missions Base, in Medicine Hat, Canada, a ministry where prayer and missions are serving simultaneously. Antonio & Christelle have established a prayer house, where many are seeking the Lord and interceding for the nations, but they are also going and sending many to the nations preaching the Gospel and touching lives. PURSUIT OF GOD HIMSELF, WHILE TOUCHING THE NATIONS 5 The Pursuit Internship is about calling a generation into a wholehearted pursuit of God, seeking the Lord by embracing a lifestyle of prayer and fasting that is energized by intimacy with Jesus. In this historic hour of human history, God is raising up men and women who refuse the status quo of religion and seek to explore the depths of God. The Pursuit Internship is a 5-month Discipleship Training School that exists to see this generation filled with the Word of God, ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit, fiery in intercession, and committed to the Great Commission. For the first three months students will participate in a lecture phase where students will learn biblical principles in the midst of prayer & worship. Learning material within the prayer room through encountering the heart of God. After the 3 months of the lecture phase of biblical, experiential teaching, we head to outreach. This is one of the most exciting parts of the Internship. We leave the classroom and touch the nations. We know and believe that without the Presence of God in our daily lives we are short cutting God s best for us. That is why we spend several hours a day in worship and prayer to God and praying for issues that are on His heart. We would like to invite you to give a portion of your lives and come together with us in the Pursuit Internship. This lifestyle is not something reserved for a select few or the elite, but summons anyone and everyone who will heed its invitation. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP 6 The Pursuit Internship is a dynamic life-changing Discipleship Training School, a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This is a time of coming to know God in a whole new dimension. Lecture Phase The first three months will have teaching from international and GPH leaders that will be about the nature & character of God. It is a time for growing in truth and understanding in our personal relationship with God. Outreach Phase Is for two months, which is a cross-cultural experience to take what you have learned and publicly testify to the truth. Consecration We invite you to set your heart to embrace 5 months of living a fasted lifestyle: primarily a fast of personal comfort and time, as well as an invitation to fast food. This is a time to expect God to deal with your perceived identity and destiny. Prayer Room The Internship is an extension of the prayer room. The prayer room is a spiritual greenhouse where you can go develop a spiritual root system (secret history in God) and grow quickly in the context of a fasted lifestyle (prayer, fasting, giving), pursuing love as defined in Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7). The prayer room times will include intercession sets and worship with the Word, devotional style sets. We will be giving you tools for the prayer room to help you to develop a strong prayer life. Expectations We expect all students and Internship staff to participate in all prayer room sessions as well as Encounter Nights. We value spending long hours before the Lord to grow in intimacy and intercession. FEES 7 Lecture Phase Cost: Lecture phase cost is $3,595.00 (without housing). For interns who will be needing their housing provided for, the lecture phase cost is $4,395.00. After acceptance, a deposit of $1,000.00 Canadian per student is required 30 days before arrival day with the balance due on registration day. The nonrefundable Application Fee is $50.00 Canadian per person and $75.00 Canadian per couple. The children of students will pay a small fee for room and board during the lecture phase. **Subject to change** Child Care Cost: During school days (Mon-Fri) the Internship will have childcare available in the mornings. The cost of child care for the 3 mont lecture phase is $500.00 Canadian. Each additional child has a child care fee of $250.00 Canadian each. Please contact us if you have more than one child. Outreach Phase Cost: Outreach phase cost is estimated to be $3,500.00-$4,500.00. The outreach includes airfare, ground transportation, room, board, and airport departure tax. The outreach fee for children will be less than adults or teens. Expenses such as personal care items, laundry and immunizations are on your own cost. **Subject to change** Foreign Students: All foreign students are required to come with a round trip air ticket unless they can provide proof of their ability to pay for the return airfare to the Immigration Officer at the port of entry. You must also come with proof of Emergency Medical Insurance for the duration of the training course.
