This generation of followers of Christ are longing and desperate for encountering and knowing God s heart intimately. John the baptist consecrated his life to be all about preparing the way of the coming King. The Pursuit Internship is for these type of people. People who are willing to give their lives in radical Pursuit of God and won t stop until they have Him. It is for people who desire to see the manifest power of God come into conflict not only with their own lives but also with all those around them. It is for those who long and desire to make His name great among the nations. The Pursuit Internship is for those who violently refuse to conform to the normal flow of our culture and instead choose to stand in the gap as burning and shining lamps. It is for the pioneers who will carry the sword into the jungle of sin and blaze a trail that raises a standard of holiness for those around them. It is for the believers who desire to live a true and Biblical lifestyle, filled with the glory, power, and presence of God, that shows a life returning to the simplicity of devotion. It is for those who desire to carry a glorious display of God s power in a generation that they were born in. PURSUIT OF GOD HIMSELF, WHILE TOUCHING THE NATIONS 5 The Pursuit Internship is about calling a generation into a wholehearted pursuit of God, seeking the Lord by embracing a lifestyle of prayer and fasting that is energized by intimacy with Jesus. In this historic hour of human history, God is raising up men and women who refuse the status quo of religion and seek to explore the depths of God. The Pursuit Internship is a 5-month Discipleship Training School that exists to see this generation filled with the Word of God, ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit, fiery in intercession, and committed to the Great Commission. For the first three months, students will participate in a lecture phase where they will learn biblical principles in the midst of prayer & worship. After the 3-month lecture phase of biblical & experiential teaching, we head to outreach. This is one of the most exciting parts of the internship. We leave the classroom and touch the nations through preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, and sharing Jesus to the needy and broken. We know and believe that without the Presence of God in our daily lives, we are short cutting God s best for us. In order to cultivate a stronger relationship with God, we focus on spending extensive time in the prayer room to encounter His heart. ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP 6 The Pursuit Internship is a dynamic life-changing Discipleship Training School; a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). It is a time of getting to know God in a whole new way. Lecture Phase The first three months have teachings from international and GPH leaders that reveal the nature & character of God. It is a time to grow in truth and understanding in our personal relationship with God. Outreach Phase The last two months of the Internship is a crosscultural experience that takes what has been learned and puts it to use through publicly testifying to the truth. Consecration We invite you to set your heart to embrace five months of living a fasted lifestyle: primarily a fast of personal comfort and time, as well as an invitation to fast food. This is a time to expect God to deal with your perceived identity and destiny. Prayer Room The Internship is an extension of the prayer room. The prayer room is a spiritual greenhouse for the development of a spiritual root system (secret history in God) that enables quick growth in the context of a fasted lifestyle (prayer, fasting, giving), pursuing love as defined in Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7). The prayer room times include intercession sets, worship with the Word sets & devotional style sets. We will be giving you tools for the prayer room to help you to develop a strong prayer life that facilitates and accelerates spiritual growth. Expectations We expect all students and Internship staff to participate in all prayer room sessions as well as Encounter Nights and Sunday Expression church services. These events require mandatory attendance. We value spending long hours before the Lord to grow in intimacy and intercession. FEES 7 Lecture Phase Cost: Lecture phase cost is $3,695.00 (Canadian) for students without housing. For interns who will need housing, the lecture phase cost is $4,395.00 (Canadian). After acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 (Canadian) per student is required 30 days before arrival day. The remaining balance is due on the first day of the Internship. The non-refundable Application Fee is $50.00 (Canadian) per person and $75.00 (Canadian) per couple. There is a small fee for room & board for children of Interns during lecture phase. **Subject to change** Child Care Cost: During school days (Mon-Fri) the Internship will have childcare available in the mornings. The cost of childcare for the 3-month lecture phase is $500.00 (Canadian). Each additional child has a childcare fee of $250.00 (Canadian) each. Please contact us if you have more than one child. **Subject to change** Outreach Phase Cost: The cost of outreach is estimated to be between $4,000.00-$4,500.00 (Canadian). Outreach cost includes: airfare, ground transportation, room & board, visas, and airport departure tax. Expenses such as personal care items, laundry and immunizations are your own cost. **Subject to change** Foreign Students: All foreign students are required to come with a round trip air ticket unless they can provide proof of their ability to pay for the return airfare to the Immigration Officer at the port of entry. FINANCIAL AGREEMENT FORM YWAM Pursuit Internship Payment Schedule School Registration Fee -- $50.00 -- To be paid with application This is a non-refundable application-processing fee. Lecture Phase Deposit -- $1,000 -- To be paid 30 days prior to Internship start date This is a non-refundable Lecture Phase Deposit. Lecture Phase with Housing --$3,395 -- To be paid upon arrival Lecture Phase w/o Housing -- $2,595 -- To be paid upon arrival This fee is for the first phase (13 weeks) of the DTS and covers school set up and supplies, food, guest speakers travels and more. Outreach Phase -- $4,000 - $4,500 -- The first outreach deposit is due the 6 th week and the final outreach costs are due the 8 th week This fee is for the second phase (8 weeks) of the DTS and covers flights, ground transportation, accommodations, and food. The outreach fee does not have an exact cost to it because there are various factors that help determine this fee. This fee will be set once the outreach location is agreed upon. YWAM Pursuit Internship Refund Policy YWAM Pursuit Internship will refund a student s Lecture Phase (course costs) and Outreach Phase fees for the following reasons: 1. Student voluntarily withdrawals from the school (breach of visa, family emergencies, medical, etc.). 2. Student is asked to leave because of breach of code of conduct. Refund schedule is as follows: Lecture Phase Outreach Phase Registration Fee NON-REFUNDABLE The outreach deposit is non-refundable, Prior to start of the school 100% of course costs but all fees above the initial outreach 1 st week 75% of course costs deposit are refundable up until the date of 2 nd week 50% of course costs departure. All outreach fees are 3 rd week 25% of course costs NON-REFUNDABLE at the 4 th week and beyond 0% of course costs commencement of the outreach. Weeks are from Sunday to Saturday, the 1 st week being Foundations. Date of withdrawal is determined by the date the student confirms withdrawal with the school leader; non- attendance days do not reflect in school timeline or adjustment of refunds. Funds received in excess of program fees will not be reimbursed and will remain at the YWAM Base.
