AZ-CA District Pastor/Teacher/Staff Minister Conference Sectional Offerings *Any teacher is welcome to the Theology Sectionals and Pastors and Staff ministers are welcome to attend any of the teaching sectionals. Curriculum sectionals LiPS Method of Teaching Phonics Grades: ECE - Primary Ages 4-Middle School Learn Steps to Enhance, Challenge, Support: Phonemic Awareness, Spelling, Word Attack, Pronunciation This program develops phonemic awareness. Students learn to recognize how their mouths produce the sounds of language. This kinesthetic feedback enables reading, spelling, and speech. Students develop an awareness of early reading and spelling skills at an early age so your Kindergartener will be ready to read some 1st-2nd Grade Words, your second grader will see spelling patterns, and your new middle school student can be brought up to speed in reading and spelling skills while your class reviews vital information. Use this program to support ESL/ELL students and people with Dyslexia. (Thursday only) LiPS Method of Teaching Phonics Grades: ESL/ELL All Levels Childhood - Adulthood This program develops phonemic awareness for ESL/ELL students. Students learn to recognize how their mouths produce the sounds of a new language and systematically provide accent reduction. This kinesthetic feedback enables and builds confidence in oral reading, spelling, and speech. What does it mean for early childhood classrooms? You probably already have the materials that you need in your classroom and you might already be

supporting STEM learning with the activities that you do! Come and see what STE(A)M learning can look like at the preschool and kindergarten levels. Tech in the classroom is a necessity. Tech is always changing. Hear from their teachers who use technology in their teaching regularly.
