Second Collection Next weekend: May 19th & 20th Latin America & Home Mission There is a great need for evangelization; for sharing the message of Christ and the beauty of His Church. Next weekend we will be taking up the collection for Catholic Home Missions & for the Church in Latin America. The Catholic Home Missions appeal supports the neediest (arch) dioceses in the United States. This special collection makes the most basic faith programs possible and shares the Gospel message with our brothers & sisters in (arch) dioceses where Church communities are scattered and struggling. Your support offers lay ministry training programs and enables them to serve the most isolated parishes & offer spiritual support for Catholics in the diocese. For the Church in Latin America - although the people are faith filled, the needs in this region of the world are great! The distance between rural areas and deteriorated roads make it difficult for some communities to have Mass celebrated regularly. With your support, pastoral agents have received training to bring the Gospel to these areas and neighborhoods. It has helped bring people to the Church through religious education and retreats and has brought the Church to the people through evangelization efforts and the repair of church buildings. Please be as generous as you can to these special collections. Take this opportunity to share your faith with many families. Your support truly makes a difference!

Please arrive at 7:45pm for silent preparation. Prayer from the Irish Catholic Bishops: Begin on Wednesday, May 16th Lord Jesus, you are the source and lover of life. Reawaken in us respect for every human life. Help us to see in each child the marvelous work of our Creator. Open our heart to welcome every child as a unique and wonderful gift. Guide the work of doctors, nurses and midwives. May the life of a mother and her baby in the womb be equally cherished and respected. Help those who make our laws to uphold the uniqueness and sacredness of every human life, from the first moment of conception to natural death. Give us wisdom and generosity to build a society that cares for all. Together with Mary, your Mother, in whose womb you took on our human nature, help us to choose life in every decision we take. We ask this in the joyful hope of eternal life with you, and in the communion of the Blessed Trinity. Amen. Our Lady of Knock, pray for us. All the Saints of Ireland, pray for us. Amen. https://www.praymorenovenas.com MASS OF REMEMBRANCE A Mass of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, 9 am at St. Kateri church followed by a light reception in the Meeting Room.
