Volubilis: Ancient Roman town where you will be able to view the Thermae, the Orpheus Mosaic, the Temple of Jupiter, oil presses, the Capitol, the third century Triumphal Arch and the Casilica. Moulay Idriss Zerhoun: the most important pilgrimage town in Morocco. Moulay Idriss I arrived in 789 to the town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, brought with him the religion of Islam and started a new dynasty. Day 4 Full day excursion from Fes to Ifrane - Azrou and back to Fes Thu, 1 Jun Full day excursion from Fes to Ifrane - Azrou and back to Fes: From Fes you will reach Ifrane, cross the small town of Immouzer Kandar busy summer for its more temperate climate than that of Fes. Then you will have a detour to the amazing Lake Daiet Aoua: you can admire the surrounding hills is reflected in its waters, or riders who take it for a playground. Arrived in Ifrane, you will be surprised by the unusual appearance of this city. With its sloping roofs, chimneys capped with huge stork nests, its abundant flower beds, its chestnut trees the city looks like a small corner of Europe. The road continues to the ski resorts and Jebel Michlifen Habre. Then down to Azrou, you will stop at the foot of Cedar Goureau. Here you can see sometimes some of the maggots that live in this forest. Wander the winding alleys of the medina and discover some of the local artisans, such as the weavers. You can find the traditional blue, white, and red-striped Riffi blankets worn by the women of the Rif, as well as soft wool and silk blankets woven on traditional looms. At yoru arrival in Marrakech airport you will meet your guide and driver then you will be transfered to the medina of Marrakech to start your walking tour, accompanied by local guide. Discover some of the most important historical sites, and the old medina and souks of Marrakech. You can visit the Bahia Palace, Saadien Tombs, Ben Youssef Medresa, Koutoubia Mosque (from outside), the famous square Djemaa El Fna and parts of the medina and souks. This tour will be done on foot, since most of the medina is closed to traffic. After your visit you will be transferred to Marrakech airport.
