The Trumpet Volume 17, Issue 4 A Monthly Publication of Christ the King Lutheran Church April 2017 Holy Week Worship Schedule Easter Sunday, April 16: Palm Sunday, April 9: Hosanna! We begin Holy Week by waving the palms in worship and hearing from the beginning of the praise musical It Took a Miracle. The procession of palms will begin in the narthex before worship. Come to begin your walk to the cross with Jesus. Maundy Thursday, April 13: During the Maundy Thursday service we'll celebrate our First Communion participants and remember Jesus' last evening with his disciples, when he taught and showed them the power of God's love--even the one who betrayed him. Special music will be a duet from It Took a Miracle. Good Friday, April 14: This service will feature stirring music from the praise musical It Took a Miracle, sung by our very own King's Choir and accompanied by spoken narrative. Throughout the service we'll meditate on Jesus' walk to the cross and experience the power of God's love. On Easter morning at CTK, we'll celebrate Jesus' resurrection with 2 communion services at 8:30am and 10:45am that will include final selections from the praise musical It Took a Miracle by the King's Choir, as well as the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus by anyone who'd like to join in! We ll enjoy music by Betsy Murray, the, King s Choir, Joyful Noise Bell Choir and the King s brass during both services, and the Cherub Choir will be an additional blessing during the 2nd service! Audio versions of Pastor Jen s sermons are now up on the website! You ll find Listen to Sermons on the drop-down menu under Worship on the front page. Or you can click here: http://ctkwbl.org/worship/listen-to-sermons/ Easter Morning Schedule Worship Services at 8:30 & 10:45 Breakfast served 9:30-10:30
