Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church The Way of the Kingdom is the Way of the Cross. We are thankful that you have chosen to spend April 22, 2018, with us, celebrating the Fourth Sunday of Easter.
Rest In Peace Our sincerest sympathies go to the family and friends of Eva Barrett, Robert Zielinski, Francis J. LaRocca, Raymond Raiczyk and Christopher Barile. May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. The Sanctuary Candle for this week was donated in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. John Radwanski, Sr. Office of the Readings: Morning Prayer What a beautiful way to start the day... praying the Psalms and seeing the sun come in through the stained glass windows. Prayer books are provided. Everyone is welcome to join us Monday through Saturday from 7:00 to 7:20AM in the church. I am the good shepherd and I lay down my life for the sheep and they will heed my voice. ~ John 10:14-16 Whey you pray, do you only ask Jesus for the things that you want? Do you ever ask Him what He wants from you? How do you listen for His response? Usually, the answer is in quit whispers, so take time every day, in silence, to actively listen for His response. NOVENA TO ST. JUDE THADDEUS Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for the spiritual renewal and growth of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg, and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen Marriages may be made in heaven, but the maintenance needs to be done on earth. The Catholic Church is affirming and supporting you in your chosen vocation Marriage. Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it. ~ Matthew 7:13-14 WILLS AND TRUSTS If you are planning on including St. Michael the Archangel in your Will or Trust, the diocese states the following: The best method for naming a parish in your will or trust is to ask your attorney to use the following terminology: I give, devise, and bequeath (amount, article, stock, etc.) to Gregory L. Parkes, as Bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, and his successors in office, a Corporation Sole, for the use of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 8014 State Road 52, Hudson, FL, 34667.
