Page Turners Update: Ladder of Years, by Anne Tyler, is the first book that has been selected. The date for the conversation gathering in response to our having read the book is scheduled for Sunday, April 23 rd, at 3:00 p.m., in the parlor. Anyone who has read this book and would like to participate in the conversation is welcome. Pastor Bill. Yum...mark your calendars for the annual Pretzel Luncheon on Sunday, April 9 (Palm Sunday), at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. It promises to be a very tasty lunch as Lisa Gingrich is also providing some homemade goodies! Cost is by donation! The Love Feast is a special time when we come together in Christian community to wash each other s feet or hands, eat a simple meal in fellowship and celebrate communion. Please join your church family on Thursday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall as we celebrate this special occasion. Comings & Goings: Gail Wagner will be on vacation Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7. One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be taken today as we once again join forces with churches across the country in this offering. Each denomination chooses how the money it raises will be spent. The Church of the Brethren will use it to fund programs overseas such as the Global Food Crisis Fund and Disaster Relief Ministries in countries such as Sudan, Haiti, and Nigeria, along with work camps here in the United States. Separate envelopes were distributed in last week s bulletin. You may also indicate your contribution under other on your weekly offering envelopes. Or, for those who contribute on line, you can include this offering under Other 1, 2, or 3. Introduction to Yoga Led by Emily Kimak, Registered Yoga Teacher Thursdays, May 4 - June 22 7:00-8:15 p.m., in the Fellowship hall $42 (if borrowing a yoga mat) $35 (if bringing your own yoga mat) Introduction to Yoga is an 8-week course led by Emily Kimak, Registered Yoga Teacher and Pre-K Teacher. Drawing on her practice, training, and teaching with populations ages 4-70, Emily enjoys making yoga an accessible and compassionate practice. Introduction to Yoga participants will be guided through a weekly practice in gentle yoga postures, breathing exercises, and guided relaxation, at a suitable pace. Mats, props, and adaptations will be provided, as well as take-home materials and suggestions for building a home practice.
