About The Author Krity Jain is a B-Tech Graduate and an IT professional in a reputed firm. She was the co-founder of the Literary Society of her college and is an active Volunteer of the NGO- Art of Living. Almost everything inspires her to write. She has an outstanding artistic expression which makes the reader too get a glimpse of the world she sees. Apart from this, she is a meditator and is very optimistic in nature. She puts in all her efforts without any feverishness to get good result, and believes that whatever happens, happens for the best. We are both, insignificant and significant at the same time, she feels. In her words- "It feels like a miniscule, considering the boundless, dimensionless universe. We are nothing seeing the magnanimity of this creation. On the other hand, a single human contain trillions of cells, which in turn contain trillions of sub atomic particles! One's life is like a page in the book called existence. The page is nothing when one looks at the entire book, yet tearing away the page certainly affects the book. The page must be written beautifully in such a manner that its content enriches the content of the pages that follow. Yet the fear of being deteriorated exhibited by the squirrel mind should evaporate, for its anyways insignificant." Life for her is not a limited edition, but beyond any possible imagination. W xi

A Dream and Beyond 1 The Beginning Of A Dream Covered With A Body In the heavenly abode, I rejoiced In that blissful state, I smiled He took my hand in his, carried me along For me he said, there is a challenge very strong I don't want to leave my origin, I begged You won t leave, but dream, he said... This dream, he told, will take me to an anomalous place For there is an electrifying journey, I had to face With a body, a part was covered He told me not to worry, for I will be mothered But what's the challenge? I asked You have to maintain originality, and not hold on to the mask 1
Krity Jain Transparent it was, there were no distortions of love, name it jealousy, greed, lust or attachment. A lucid state. But then what appeared was a body. I was asked to play a role, yet not to give up the originality while playing it. 2

Promise When you will find yourself drowning, unable to stand I will be there, to lend a hand When there will be darkness, blurring your eyes I will be the star to guide When there will be stones, beneath your feet I will the gentle grass ahead, humble and sweet When you will find nobody I shall be everybody 3
Krity Jain Lost in the dream, I was placed in a very dark yet comforting place. My first encounter was with the most beautiful lady on Earth. Life Within A Life My body was gently placed, in a place very dark Yet from fear to warmth, my heart travelled the arc It smelled safer, than the safest I was happier, than the happiest Love they call it, it was my first experience Pure and comforting, such was its redolence Stupefied it left me, her unconditional care I could sense my presence in her prayers She heard all, even without my say Never an equivalent to her love, a tribute could I pay I wondered if the place I am about to enter, is filled with creatures alike her Then this body against that, I would certainly prefer For months I was carried inside For months stayed a life within a life W 4
A Dream and Beyond 2 The Profound Impact On Senses After the life in my mother s womb, it was nature that alarmed me second! Sunrise spelled warmth, glittering through trees it weaved ecstasy. I was overwhelmed to see the different shades of colours mother earth reflected and was bewildered seeing the pace at which they change. Sky changed from a dazzling blue in the morning to deep orange at sunset. It was magical. Swaying wind used to accompany me in the dance to the music of the waves of the shore in the gleaming silver moonlight. Stars served as spectators, cheering me through the spark they illuminated. Completeness dawns on realizing that the love of this nature towards us is miraculous and unfathomable. 5

A Dream and Beyond While I used to walk on the road holding my mother s finger, it seemed as if the trees were standing both sides to welcome us. Warm Welcome Awaits They were standing both sides In between was a way, wide They bent down, to greet Shaded me, from the scorching heat Through flowers, they smiled Fruits, they served Life, they gifted Spirit, they uplifted 7
Krity Jain In fact I was able to relate my day-to-day activities with nature. Sunned Eyes Early morning, I open my eyes Like the beautiful sunrise... Mid-afternoon is my working time Sun too spread rays, to the peak it shines... As and when black clouds gather Like tears, rain showers... What follows is a clear weather Heart feels calm and better... After this game, the eyelids meet Sleep serves a soft treat... A beautiful day, completes And the sun sets in peace... 8
A Dream and Beyond Also, down the memory lane, I remember a splendiferous morning. That day I felt as if the nature was announcing the wedding of the rays of the sun with the waves, in the form of its reflection from the water. The Auspicious Wedding Day Flowers adorned the royal wedding The wind and the clouds were delightedly dancing Sun being the bride, slowly rose Beautiful in yellow, she posed... Smell of euphoria, floated around The princess as a queen was to be crowned Her eyes were looking, for her soul mate Serene Water met her, by good fate And then the nightingale began the chants Time smiled for the bride groom to join hands... Rising wave, the first step by groom Rays of the sun, completed the room The wedding finally took place Rays reflected from the water waves Trees bent down to bless with jubilation I was the photographer of this occasion... 9

Shadow Was standing on the road Waiting for the bus, to board Hospitable evening, but the bus was late Darkness followed the pleasant date Alone I was, then someone came A girl in grey, with hair silky-plain She stood there, taciturn-still On finding a person to talk, happiness drilled I asked her, if she was travelling alone She replied no, in a soft dulcet tone But there was no one around her, I could find Maybe she was waiting for someone to arrive An hour passed, the bus didn't came Standing there idle was lame Seeing her beside, I asked who was with her To my wonder she replied, Everyone Alarmed, I thought her to be mad A stupid girl, still a smiling lad Do you think I am crazy? she asked me Nothing left to say, I gave her a glee 10
