Page 4 Thank You We recently received this picture from Joshua Woods, member of St. Simon s and seminarian, modeling his new vestments provided through the generosity of several parishioners. He wanted to share words of thanks and appreciation for everyone at St. Simon s for the continued love and support. Please keep Joshua in your prayers as he continues his studies and moves towards ordination. Liza Jackson Legacy Society Have you seen the beautiful bronze plaque now hanging in the Church Atrium? It honors those parishioners who have made commitments to the St. Simon s Endowment Fund, and because of that, have become members of the Liza Jackson Legacy Society. Their acts of charity and financial commitment to the St Simon s Endowment Fund help to ensure the future viability of St. Simon s for years to come. With the season of giving upon us this may be a good time for you to consider a commitment to the Endowment Fund as well. You don t need to be wealthy to give, and giving need not be complicated. Make a gift, through your will, or an insurance policy in memory or honor of a friend or family member. With Tax Season just around the corner, there are a number of types of planned gifts which provide tax benefits. For more information consult with your financial advisor, pick up a Brochure in the rack by the church office, or ask any parishioner whose church nametag indicates they are a member of the Legacy Society. Financial Update As we approach the end of the year, it is important for all of us to understand the financial health of the parish. From plate and pledge giving, to special event contributions, St. Simon s is fortunate to have a generous congregation, and we are very close to reaching our pledged giving goal for the year! Pledged Giving $536,250 $511,568 Budgeted Year-to-Date Actual Year-to-Date Remembering and fulfilling your pledge will help ensure St. Simon s ability to continue to offer a multitude of services and events. Please give prayerful consideration to your support for the work of the parish during this festive, yet busy, time of year. St. Simon s is a wonderful place because of you and all you do, so let s keep giving and keep going! Save the Date! MAY 5, 2018 CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE FALL 2017 FTN NEWSLETTER
