Transcription:

Scriptural Overview of Fallen Angels Interbreeding With Humanity Matthew 24:37 - Jesus states that as things were in the days of Noah, so will they be at the end of the age and at the time of His return. *What were the days of Noah like, and what can we expect to see happening at the time of Christ's return?* THE FIRST OCCURRENCE AND DESTRUCTION THEREOF Genesis 3:15 - "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed..." - Who are the offspring mentioned here? 1) Jesus and 2)?????????? Genesis 6:1-6 - The "Sons of God" are what is usually in hot debate in this passage. Who were they? - In Hebrew this term is "B'nai haelohim" and can be found in the following passages: *Job 1:6; 2:1 and 38:7 - In all of these passages this term refers to Angelic beings. *Job 38:4-7 - 4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? - The word "giants" in the Genesis 6 text is actually the word "Nephilim" *This word means "To fall" or "The fallen ones" or "Fallers, Rebels, Apostates" *It is also good to note in v.4 that the giants or "Nephilim" were in those days and the days after -Characteristics - 1) Mighty men of renown (v.4b) 2) Very evil continually (v.5b) 3) Violent (v.13) -Genesis 6:12 - All flesh had corrupted it's way. *What was the point of this activity from satan's standpoint? - To cut off the possibility of a coming Messiah (Gen 3:15) Genesis 6:9 - This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. - The word perfect used in this passage is the Hebrew word "Tamiym" (Strong's H8549). It means: *1) complete, whole, entire, sound a) complete, whole, entire b) whole, sound, healthful c) complete, entire (of time) d) sound, wholesome, unimpaired, innocent, having integrity e) what is complete or entirely in accord with truth and fact (neuter adj/subst) - This is the same word used repeatedly throughout scripture to indicate physical perfection - without spot or blemish, etc. - specifically of the passover lamb. - Noah was complete, whole, entire, sound, and healthful in his generations or his ancestry. *His ancestry had not been polluted by interbreeding with fallen angels. God needed this to preserve the undefiled lineage of humanity so that He could send the Messiah as the "seed of woman" listed in Genesis 3:15. *Satan was already working against God's prophecy against him (Genesis 3:14-15) to cut off any chance of a Messiah who would crush his head. ***THE RESULTING DESTRUCTION OF THIS OCCURRENCE WAS THE WORLD WIDE FLOOD*******

THE SECOND OCCURRENCE AND DESTRUCTION THEREOF Genesis 14 - Abraham rescues lot from Chedorlaomer. - Verse 1-4 - A number of kings served Chedorlaomer for 12 years and then rebelled in the 13th year. Consequently there was war. - Verse 5 - Chedorlaomer defeats the giants (Rephaim, Zuzims and Emims) *Definitions: Rephaim - Hebrew word for giant Zuzims - Hebrew word meaning "roving creatures" Emims - Hebrew word meaning "Terrors" *Deuteronomy 2 gives a more in depth description of these giant races and others: (ie: Rephaim, Emims, Zammzumims, Anakims, Nephilim, Zuzims, etc.) - This begs the questions: 1) Where did these giants come from? 2) Weren't all of the giants/nephilim destroyed in the flood? 3) Who was interbreeding with fallen angels to cause this to happen again? Genesis 18 - God (likely the pre-incarnate Christ), accompanied by 2 angels, appears to Abraham. - Verses 1-3 - Abraham immediately recognizes these 3 beings as heavenly hosts/angelic. Genesis 19 - The two angels arrive in Sodom to save the righteous. - Verses 1-3 - Lot immediately recognizes these 2 beings as heavenly hosts/angelic. - Verses 4-5 - The entire town had also recognized that these 2 beings were angelic and came out to have sex with them. - There is obviously a comfortability in seeing and interacting with other worldly or heavenly beings. I believe that this is because this was an ongoing interaction that was common for that day. - In the first occurrence of sexual contact between humanity and fallen angels, God destroyed all of the earth in a flood - here again we see a strong reaction from God towards this type of behavior and the cities participating in this are destroyed. II Peter 2:4-8 - Peter ties together fallen angels, the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah. Jude 6-7 - Jude also ties together the fallen angels and Sodom and Gomorrah. - V.7 - He states that those in Sodom and Gomorrah committed fornication and other sexual sins, and specifically that they went after "strange" flesh. *"Strange" is the Greek word "heteros" (Strong's G2087). It means: 1) the other, another, other a) to number 1) to number as opposed to some former person or thing 2) the other of two b) to quality 1) another: i.e. one not of the same nature, form, class, kind, different -The "strange" flesh therefore must be flesh that is other than human flesh. Luke 17:26-30 - Jesus ties together the sins in the days of Noah's time and the time of Sodom and Gomorrah, and points to the destruction that both groups suffered as a warning for the punishment that will come on those practicing the same sins when Jesus returns at the end of the age. THE RESULTING DESTRUCTION OF THIS OCCURRENCE WAS ANNIHILATION OF SODOM AND GOMORRAH BY FIRE

THE THIRD OCCURRENCE AND DESTRUCTION THEREOF Numbers 13:25-33 - The 12 spies return with an evil report concerning the land that the Lord told them to possess. - Verses 28-33 - The "Sons of Anak" dwell there. Men of "great stature" which "come from the giants (Nephilim)" and saw us as "grasshoppers". - BECAUSE OF BELIEF IN THIS EVIL REPORT OF UNBELIEF, ISRAEL WANDERED IN THE DESERT FOR OVER 40 YEARS! Deuteronomy 2 - Now Israel is going back to the promised land - here we get descriptions of the giants in the lands before the Jordan and the victory over Sihon (the Amorites). - Verses 9-11 - Describes a variety of giant peoples - "Emims", "Anakim", "Rephaim". - Verses 19-21 - Describes the "Zamzummims" a giant race which "God destroyed..." (v.21) - Verse 34 - Victory over Sihon - They destroyed men, women and children. Why? 1) Because of their mixed ancestry (angelic and human) 2) Because they continued to sin by having sexual contact with angelic beings. *This is the first of a number of peoples that God has the Israelites completely destroy, including men, women and children. - Genesis 15:12-21 - God promises Abraham that he will bring his descendants out of captivity when the "sins of the Amorites" have reached their full measure. These sins included sexual contact between humans and fallen angels, thus evoking the same swift judgement which those of Noah's time and Sodom and Gomorrah received. Deuteronomy 3:1-11 - The victory over Og, king of Bashan. - Verse 11 - Og is stated to be the last of the Rephaim (Hebrew word for "Giant") but not the last of the Nephilim, who were still dwelling in the land (Numbers 13:28-33). *This does not mean that Og was the last of the giant hybrid peoples. *Joshua 11:21-23 - Joshua vanquishes all of the Anakims left in the high country - leaving only a few that fled to Gaza, Ashdod and Gath (Goliath was a descendant) *There was enough physical difference between the different types of hybrids that they were classified into different races - ie: Nephilim, Anakim, Rephaim, Emims, Zamzummims, etc. - Og's bedstead is cited as being 13.5 feet in length. Rabbinic tradition states that the bed was measured and built to the specifications of Og himself, making Og 13.5 ft tall. - Verses 2-3 - God commands Israel to do to these people what they did to Sihon and the Ammorites - Israel obeys and kills them all: men, women and children. Joshua - The continued conquest to conquer and vanquish all of the defiled, half-breed humans in the promised land. - Joshua 6 - Jericho and all of its inhabitants completely destroyed (except for Rahab and her family) *Verses 16-19 - The city and all who were in it were accursed before the Lord - even the gold and silver. - Joshua 8 - The Israelites completely destroy the city of Ai, including the women (v.25) - Joshua 10 - The Israelites completely destroy the 5 Amorite kings - men, women and children. - Joshua 11 - The Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Hivites are again completely destroyed by Israel - men women and children (v.12) -Verses 21-23 - Joshua vanquishes all of the Anakims left in the high country - leaving only a few that fled to Gaza, Ashdod and Gath (Goliath was a descendant) - Joshua 18 - Part of Manneseh's allotment of land was the Valley of the Rephaim or the "Valley of the Giants" The ancient historian Josephus also tells about the Jewish battle to wipe out the Nephilim in the Promised Land. He wrote that after the Jewish fighters had moved from Hebron to battle the Gibborim:And when they had taken it, they slew all the inhabitants. There were still then left a race of giants, who had bodies so large, and countenances so entirely different from other men, that they were surprising to the sight and terrible to the hearing. The bones of these men are still shown to this very day, unlike to any credible relations (or likenesses) of other men. Judges - Israel's disobedience to God in that they did not destroy all of the nations in the land and were they themselves beginning to be defiled by their evil ways. God therefore raises up judges to help Israel to overcome these evil nations. - Judges 1 - the description of this disobedience. - Judges 2 - God's anger toward the Israelites for disobedience. * Verse 12 - they began to worship the gods of the ungodly nations and forsake the true God. - These gods of the heathen nations were actually depictions of the fallen angelic beings that their nations had been interbreeding with throughout their histories. ie: Baals, Dagon, Asherah (queen of heaven), Chemosh/Molech, Teraphim, Peor, etc. - Again, satan is trying to infiltrate the Hebrew bloodline to usurp the coming Messiah. - Judges 3:1-7 - God left some nations to test and prove Israel as a nation. Time and time again, Israel failed this test and worshiped other gods (the images of the beings that had interbred with humanity). - Judges 4-21 - God raises up judges to help Israel fight off the invading heathen nations and their fallen angelic gods.

I & II Samuel - Saul and David continue to wipe out the pagan hybrid peoples. - I Samuel 5 - The Philistines steal the ark of the covenant and put it in the temple of their god Dagon in Ashdod - Dagon was the god that was worshipped by the Amorites - he was worshipped as the god of fertility. *Why are the Philistines worshipping Amorite gods? - Note the location: Ashdod. According to Joshua 11:21-23 this is one of the cities where the few remaining Anakim escaped to. - Verses 3-4 - God's opinion of Dagon and the destruction of his graven image. - It is interesting to note that God brings judgment on heathen Gods. This happened in Egypt. * Exodus 12:12 - For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. - I Samuel 15 - Saul is commanded to completely destroy the Amalekites. - Genesis 14:7, Numbers 13:29, Numbers 14 - The Amalekites are almost always linked to the Amorites and the Canaanites, which also links them to the sexual depravity of those nations. *Again, God commands Israel to completely destroy this entire nation - including their animals. Unfortunately, Saul disobeys and is consequently rejected as king. - I Samuel 17 - David defeats Goliath of Gath. -Verses 4-7 - A description of Goliath, who was nearly 10 feat tall, and obviously very strong. - II Samuel 21:15-22 and I Chronicles 20:4-8 - Goliath had 4 Philistine brothers in Gath - they were all the sons of Rapha. *This scripture proves that the Philistines bred with the Anakim that escaped to Gath. -Verse 40 - I find it no coincidence that David chose 5 stones and that there were 5 giant brothers in Gath -I believe that David decided in his heart at that moment that he would personally see to it that Goliath and his 4 brothers would never bother Israel again. - II Samuel 21:15-22 - The remainder of the Philistine giants (the brothers of Goliath) are killed. I & II Kings and I &II Chronicles - Continued wars, trouble, infiltration from, captivity in, and strife with the heathen nations who worshipped fallen angels as gods. -I Chronicles 11:22-23 - Benaiah son of Jehoida strikes down a giant Egyptian who is over 7 1/2 feet tall. - It is obvious by studying different cultures that the sexual sin committed between humanity and fallen angels was not limited only to those nations surrounding Israel. Daniel - Captivity in Babylon. Daniel 2:43 - "And whereas thou saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay" - This is speaking about the final government of earth and that time period. - Jesus stated that as were the days of Noah, so will the days be at the coming of the Son of Man - Who are the "they" listed in this verse? They must be something other than men because they shall mingle themselves WITH the seed of men. ANGELS AND DEMONS - Were the "Sons of God" mentioned in Genesis 6 demons? - No they were fallen angels. Scripturally there is a difference. Matthew 12:43-45 - Demons walk to get where they need to go. - Demons are constantly looking to get into a body and will even settle for the bodies of animals (Mark 5:12) - Demons need a body to have any meaningful interaction with the physical realm. Ephesians 6:12 - "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (NIV) - Demons are the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world. - Fallen angels are the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms. THE PHYSICAL NATURE OF ANGELS -Angels have a physical nature as well as a spiritual nature and they are considered to be "inter-dimensional" beings. Genesis 18:8 - Abraham eats meat, butter, cheese and bread with God (likely the pre-incarnate Christ) and two angels Genesis 19:10 - Lot is physically pulled back into the house by two angels. Genesis 32:22-31 - Jacob physically wrestles with an angel and receives a hip injury from the incident. Acts 12:7 - An angel appears and strikes Peter to wake him up. Hebrews 13:2 - We are instructed to entertain strangers because thereby some have entertained angels unaware.

SOME THOUGHTS FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT Matthew 24:37 - Jesus states that as things were in the days of Noah, so will they be at the end of the age and at the time of His return. He also states several times that we should be on guard so that we do not become deceived. - The primary sin listed in Genesis 6 was the interbreeding between humans and fallen angels. - We cannot be deceived by something that we are expecting. I Corinthians 11:10 - Women ought to have "power" over their heads because of the angels. - The word power here is the Greek word "Exousia" meaning "Authority, power, one who possesses authority or right, jurisdiction, a veil signifying a husband's authority over his wife" II Peter 2:4-8 - Peter links together the fallen angels, the time of noah and Sodom and Gomorrah. Jude 6-7 - Jude links the fallen angels to Sodom and Gomorrah. Luke 17:26-30 - Jesus ties together the sins in the days of Noah's time and the time of Sodom and Gomorrah, and points to the destruction that both groups suffered as a warning for the punishment that will come on those practicing the same sins when He returns at the end of the age. LET THE SPECULATION BEGIN: UFO'S, ALIENS AND THE END TIMES With all of this in mind, here are some questions: - How will all of these things play out in the end times? - How can we apply this information so that we are not deceived? - What current trends in society are we seeing to prepare us for the last days deception? - What phenomena are currently occurring that could very well be another chapter in the history of the interbreeding of humans and fallen angels and the resulting Nephilim upon earth? There is currently an ongoing phenomena that is becoming too prevalent and well documented for us to ignore. This phenomena has been showcased in our society's books, magazines, radio broadcasts, and movies since before the time that any of us were born. It is a phenomena based upon "science" and "scientific possibility". It is a phenomena that is quickly changing humanity's assumptions about the universe in which we live. THIS PHENOMENA IS THE UFO AND ALIEN PHENOMENON.
