Join us for Mid-week Lenten Services This Wednesday, March 14 th at 7:00 pm will be our midweek Lenten service. The focus is on Serving All People, Following the Example of Christ. We use a Taize-style liturgy and will provide you with a calming time of peace during your busy week to simply pause, reflect upon some inspirational Bible passages, quietly sing, and focus your attention upon prayer. Thank you for all the calls, cards, gifts of food, and visits from my beloved church family while I was recuperating from my second foot surgery. The Murrysville Teen Community Bible Study is a weekly, nondenominational Bible Study for high school and home-schooled students in Grades 9 thru 12, in the Murrysville area and surrounding eastern suburbs. Each week class includes dinner, worship, small group discussion and large group teaching. Come see what happens in people s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Classes meet weekly on Tuesdays during the school year. Each class member receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class. The group is located at: Murrysville Community Church ~ 3750 School Road ~ Murrysville, PA Every Tuesday throughout the school year 6:30 to 8:30 pm. We are collecting items for our Operation Christmas Child boxes once again this year. In MARCH, we will be collecting Small Stuffed Animals or Dolls (about 6-8 inches). Please contact Romaine Miller at 412-795-6473 if interested. 30 Hour Famine April 13 th 14 th & Veterans Care Package Collection It s that time of year and our youth, age 12 and up, are invited to "Make It Your Fight" and participate in the 30 Hour Famine and Lock-in here at the church on April 13 th 14 th. Through this event, they learn about hunger, raise funds to help hungry kids, and experience hunger for themselves. As part of a service project, we will be collecting and making care packages for the veteran patients at the VA Hospital in Oakland. Look for our donation box and other ways you can support this youth service event. We will be collecting: Lip Balm, Tissues, Toothbrushes, Tooth Brush Holders, Deodorant, Mints, Chewing Gum, Single Serving Snacks, Small Packages of Crackers, Playing Cards, Socks, and Large Print Word-find/Puzzle Books (small size).
