Guidelines and Etiquettes for Ramadan 1435H Ramadan Mubarak to all. May Allah SWT grant us all salvation. The community is urged to observe following guidelines and etiquettes during Ramadan. SHOES & STROLLERS Shoes and Strollers must be kept in designated areas only PRAYER HALL Turn off your cell phone. Do not record Shaikh Syed Jibreel s recitation. No food or drinks in the prayer halls, except bottled water Sisters with active kids must pray in the Game Room Parents with children under 8 years should pray in the back rows Fill up the gaps in the rows before starting a new one Do not move chairs from designated areas. Children above 7 years should pray at least 8 rak ah Have your children next to you at all time when you are praying Utilize babysitting service and I love Islam program for 8 years and under HALLWAYS No running in the hallways Do not stop to chat anywhere in the hallways. Please keep moving to avoid hallway traffic RECYCLE & RE-USE Paper products and plastic bottles should be responsibly disposed in the recycle bins provided around the masjid Re-use your cups for water and drinks STANDING IN FOOD LINE Use the time before Athan for dua (prayer). It is a very valuable time Form a straight line and avoid huddling in a group Do not cut in line Allow elders and the disabled to be served ahead of you FOOD ETIQUETTE Do not waste food. Seconds will be given only after the first serving is provided to everyone in the line Please clean up after yourself by taking your plates and drinks to the trash or recycle bins. Opening for MCA Youth Coordinator Islamic Counseling & Education MCA is looking for a motivated person for the position of Youth Coordinator, which reports to the Youth Secretary on Executive Committee. The Youth Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing events for the youth at MCA. The duties of the Youth Coordinator include: Planning, organizing and executing youth oriented activities and events as directed by the Youth Secretary. Working in collaboration with MCA committees on planning and implementing events and activities. Establish processes for effectively gathering and incorporating community feedback on all Youth programs/events. Purchase materials needed for Youth events and work with facility manager at MCA to reserve appropriate facilities needed for Youth events and activities. Logistical preparations for events. Maintain finance spreadsheets for all Youth events and activities. Work with the Publication Secretary to prepare ads for all youth events for the newsletter & MCA website. Manage schedule for the use of the youth lounge. Report to facility manager at MCA as needed for maintenance of the youth lounge. Recruit and manage volunteers for activities organized by the Youth committee.
