More 'thank yous' for the mittens...a recent conversation with a teacher provided interesting revelations on both sides. As mittens were delivered to one of the local schools after Christmas, the teacher said to the St. Bernard's ladies, 'so that is where the mittens came from!' During the winter months, the mittens from the 'mitten box' are well used. One of the activities that occurs to promote fresh air and exercise, is to go skating at one of the neighborhood rinks. Skates have been donated for those needing them, but on the many cold days this winter, having access to the hats, scarves and mittens that made their way to the school, from the abundance donated at the church in December, meant that the children stayed warm and dry. Thank you again for your generosity.
