QURAN RESEARCH

All the new scientific discoveries are also mentioned in the Quran. And as new scientific discoveries are made its agreement is found in the Holy Quran. If Muslim scientists ponder over the Quran and undertake their research according to the prophecies contained in the Quran and use the vast ocean of knowledge that is contained therein, then the majority of new research can be undertaken under the guidance and suggestions given in the Holy Quran. I was thinking about this today and it came to my mind that the sugar etc that is sold in the shops is made by immoral and sinful people. If there is harm in it then it is not surprising. But honey is made by the revelation of God and therefore, it should not be like other sugary things at all. If it (honey) were like these then all sugary things would have been called cure for mankind but this (phrase) has only been reserved for honey. Thus, this property of honey is the proof of its benefit and because it is prepared according to revelation, the bee must only take beneficial substances when it sucks the nectar from flowers. SPECIFIC CURES

Honey may be better than no treatment, diphenhydramine and placebo for the symptomatic relief of cough, but it is not better than dextromethorphan. None of the included studies assessed the effect of honey on cough duration because intervention and follow-up were for one night only. There is no strong evidence for or against the use of honey.

Honey might be superior to some conventional dressing materials, but there is considerable uncertainty about the replicability and applicability of this evidence.

This is why the Holy Quran does not say that (only) honey is cure but it says in that is a Sign for a people who reflect - meaning We have given the clue, now it is your task to undertake the research. The research on honey has been very weak and Ahmadis especially should focus on this. It is impossible that Holy Quran selects something and claims it to be cure for mankind and it does not have a deep system (of cure) within it. Man has not yet discovered this system.
