M ù 06, 2018 Feast of St. Catherine Annual St. Catherine Priest s Dinner Every year on or near the Feast of St. Catherine, present and former parish priests gather together to share a meal and memories. This year twelve priests were able to attend. They gathered in the new rectory for a social hour before going out to dinner. The neighborhoods go marching in! As overhead speakers broadcast Jim Hughes and the choir playing The Saints Go Marching In, our Feast Day celebration began with the Parish Neighborhood Communities processing from the Marian Garden to the church. Bishop Estévez celebrated Mass, where during his homily he held a pop quiz to test St. Catherine youth on their knowledge of our Patron Saint. After Mass, food and fellowship were overflowing in Haut Hall, as neighborhood communities laid out tables of their favorite dishes to share. It was a great celebration! P 3

EWTN Airs Documentary on the Florida Martyrs On June 6, at 10 p.m., famed "Miracle Hunter" Michael O'Neill's EWTN series They Might Be Saints will air a special one-hour episode on the courageous and heroic witnesses who gave their lives for the Catholic faith during the Spanish missionary period. The cause for the Martyrs of la Florida was formally opened on Oct. 12, 2015, in Tallahassee and is currently being prepared for submission to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in Rome. Filmed on location in Florida, the episode includes interviews with expert witnesses including Bishop Estévez. Before the episode airs at 10pm, Father Mitch Pacwa will have as his guests on EWTN Live at 8:00 p.m. Father Len Plazewski, vice-postulator for the Florida Martyrs cause and Heather Jordan, who serves on the Board of the Martyrs of La Florida Missions, Inc. We are called To Visit the Imprisoned: What Do We Do Kairos Prison Retreats: Members of our parish participate in Kairos retreats five times a year & in three different prisons. Prayer and Cookies for Prison s Retreats: We provide cookies & prayer support for the inmates during the retreat. Catholic Prayer Services: Volunteers provide a weekly service that includes the Sunday liturgy readings & reflections. As well as participate in a Scriptural Rosary lead by the inmates. Care for our Soldiers: provide snacks, toilettes and reading material for our Soldiers overseas. Our Homeless Outreach is expanding and we need you! Do you have a heart for the homeless? All funds raised will be used by our Scouts to offset the cost of Summer Camp in North Georgia at the end of June. Car wash tickets will be sold at the Gazebo after all Masses during the weekends of April 28-29 and May 5-6. Tickets are $6 per car and can also be purchased the day of the Car Wash. If you do not plan on getting a Mother's (or your own) car washed on May 12, please consider a donation to the Troop which will be used to help the boys attend Summer Camp.
