The theme for this session is Easter. All children and their families are invited to join us. Calling all Pre-School and Kindergarten Teachers: Volunteers Needed to Lead or Co-Lead Sunday School We are so fortunate to have had Susan Marshall and Pat Bertola co-leading our 9 AM Sunday School for over 25 years! They have seen many of our children grow up and bring their own children to our Sunday School class. Christina McGoldrick is our newest Sunday School teacher and has re-opened our 10:45 AM class time that we had for many years. We are grateful to Susan, Pat, Christina and all of our parents and volunteers who lead, aide and support our program each week so that our 4 and 5 year olds can learn the story of Jesus. We would love to have a team of teachers that have some background in Early Childhood Development co-lead our Sunday School classes. We use a program that has pre-planned lessons but we need that special person who loves little children and has some experience working with them to bring the program to life. If you are interested in helping with our October-June or July-September sessions, please contact our office. We would love to talk to you. May Crowning and Rosary Thursday May 7, 4-4:45 PM in Church During the Month of May -- a month both named for and dedicated to Mary -- Catholics have long honored Mary by placing a crown on her image. The tradition in the United States and many other countries has been for school children to have a "May Crowning" ceremony, with a procession, dress clothes and a wreath of fresh flowers that one child gets to place on the statue. Our 4th Grade RE class invites you to join them as we honor Mary on Thursday, May 7, 4-4:45 PM with songs and prayers. 1st Communion children are encouraged to wear their 1st Communion outfits. Rosaries will be provided. Bring a flower to honor Mary. CROWN of FLOWERS for Mary needed anyone willing to make a crown of flowers for us to use in the ceremony, please contact our office at (949) 586-4550 or skre@cox.net

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY St. Kilian Catholic Church April 12 @ 3:00 PM CELEBRATION INCLUDES ROSARY, CHAPLET, BENEDICTION Jesus said, "On that day all the divine floodgates are open through which graces flow. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be scarlet. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls." (Diary, 699) A plenary indulgence is granted with the preparation conditions for the Feast day. For more information call Lucia at 8302213. What Is Divine Mercy Sunday? The Feast of Divine Mercy has been celebrated in many countries and dioceses for many years. Saint John Paul II has read the diary of St. Faustina and has come to realize the significance of this feast. The Holy See has decreed that the "Second Sunday of Easter would be known as Divine Mercy Sunday." Our Lord's Desire First of all, we must understand that this Feast of Mercy is no one else's idea, but Our Lord's. Fourteen times in the Diary of St. Faustina, Our Lord is quoted as requesting a "Feast of Mercy." This is why Saint John Paul II had proclaimed "I give thanks to Divine Providence that I have been enabled to contribute personally to the fulfillment of Christ's will through the institution of the Feast of Divine Mercy." -----------------------------------------------------In preparation of the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, a 9-day novena begins on Good Friday. ----------------------- - Three O'clock Prayer for Mercy At three o clock implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world. I will allow you to enter into My mortal sorrow. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.
