DOUBLE MINDEDNESS and THE CONSEQUENCES In my opinion, as all of my articles are, I believe Double Mindedness is probably the most undiagnosed and destructive spiritual affliction that has attached itself to the Christian church. This self destructive virus existence has gone un-noticed until medical science recently discovered the human brain has Plasticity. Science has enlightened the church with knowledge, how to become the person God intended, when he permitted His Son, Jesus, to visit earth for 33 years. Acceptance of this 21 st century truth about the brain s plasticity will require an entrance into a here-to-for unknown spiritual territory and may create fear of pain that a change of heart can cause. Your heart is designed to resist any outside change and speaks truth. That old saying, I have a gut feeling is really your heart attempting to tell you something to reject or accept. Your heart will not resist if you contemplate a spiritual change into an unknown but true to God s word dimension of reality. Allow me to post a command God gave to Joshua: This book of the law (God s word) shall not depart out of your mouth (Speaking); but you shall meditate (Think) therein day and night, that you may observe (Visualize) to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Joshua 1:8 Your heart can be changed positively by, Speaking, thinking and visualizing what God has said and ignoring all human facts that disagree with God s word. Your heart has 60 times electrically and 5000 times magnetically the power of your brain or mind. A Double Minded or a natural left and right sided brain will submit and become Single minded by the overpowering words your heart speaks. Your life or death is in your hands; no one or nothing can affect your decisions. The historical event of the cross occurred over 2000 years ago and the authentic reason Jesus came to earth was humanly perverted by the Pharisees and spiritual perverted by, none other than by Satan, the master of deception. 1
The perverted reason Jesus came to earth was imparted into the founders Double Mindedness evidenced by the first church false foundation. Peter, the self appointed, first Pope in the Christian church had a Double Minded perception of the church s foundation, designed by Jesus. Jesus said, I want my church s foundation on my being the Son of God. The Flat World Society played a similar deception on humanity until 517 years ago, the 12 th day of last month, when a non-compliant mariner named Christopher Columbus believed the Bible definition of the world was a Globe and did not sail off the edge of the flat world on his way to India. The obscene notion that God, the architect of love, could burn and torture any of His creation in the Pagan god s hell is more mythical than Santa Claus or the belief in The Flat World Society. And contrary to accurate spiritual knowledge, Christianity has not only believed this deception but has trained Christian missionaries to spread this false gospel as Good news to the world. It s not good news that everyone but Christians go to hell. It is Double Minded to believe Jesus made it possible to escape a mythical hell and the same time believe the fact; Jesus never suggested, taught or inferred for anyone to accept him for this obscene purpose. Jesus had a single command to his disciples, Go into the entire world and teach the kingdom of God and then the things I prophesied can happen. Paraphrased, Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the entire world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. The gospel of the kingdom is the real and correct good news that Jesus was sent to earth to teach and he also manifested the unconditional love of God. The belief in the Siamese twins, death and hell is deeply embedded because of Cultural beliefs and a willingness not to examine an alternative belief, even if a better life or a life without sickness is possible. Once a lie, like the Flat World Society deception was uncovered a continued belief in the lie would have negative consequences. 2
Living in a lie requires thinking and speaking deceptively and produces results contrary to the truth. You attract good or evil, what you think and speak about. Is this the reason some people will not do business with a Christian? 1. Out of the Abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 2. As a man thinks so is he. 3. Life and death are in the power of a man s tongue. The above three universal laws of God are inerrant and produce the results of the laws whether they are believed or not believed. A belief in hell is a belief in the Pagan god s Hades and is contrary to spiritual information contained in an accurate choice of synonyms in God s word. The King James Version is really a Perversion of God s intentions and plans. As a Christian for 54 years I believed the King James Version was God speaking. It wasn t God speaking; it was the translators choosing synonyms that reflected their Catholic Cultural background and speaking incorrectly. Now, as a son of God, and knowing that God is love and does not operate apart from love; my life is extraordinarily blessed, spiritually, physically and imminently financially. My love for my Father increases every day and my sense of His love and approval of my life is beyond my description. I honestly believe that the perversion and Christians accepting and spreading the perversion that God sends everyone but Christians to hell is responsible for the No solutions condition the world and our country is in. God choose the Jews to take the news of there being only one God to the world. God did this because the Jews, like their father, Abraham, believed God. Israel was on the North- South and East-West trades routes where travelers passed. God choose His Son Jesus, a Jew, to tell his Jewish kinsmen, I have come to give life and life more abundantly when you repent or change your perception and the kingdom of heaven is in you. Repent means eliminate your Pagan concepts of the real God, who is love and does not act apart from love. God choose the Apostle Paul, a Jew, to take this same message to the Gentiles. In God s realm or kingdom there are Jews and Gentiles. God did not establish Christianity or any other religion. Jesus made a relationship to God possible so He can have innumerable sons like Jesus. 3
Why would God want a personal relationship with an organization? What happens to a Christian who believes and accepts a perverted reason Jesus came to earth? Locked into traditional and cultural beliefs will eliminate any alternative belief. The truth is rejected and a lie accepted. This is unbelief or the way to avoid the blessings and will of God, like divine health, prosperity and immortality. Double mindedness is an easily diagnosed condition because the results can t be hidden. Death and hell are always connected because death requires a grave, the only description of Hades or hell. The only Greek synonym for death is Thanatos a Greek Pagan god. The only word for hell or Hades is a grave. The Greek Pagan god who enjoyed torturing ruled over Hades but could be lenient if a dead Pagan had money in his mouth as he crossed the river Styx to Hades. Sounds like a Catholic Indulgence to escape another mythical location Purgatory. A belief in Death involuntarily is a belief in sickness, disease or accidents that cause death. A belief in death and having the faith of Jesus are polarized opposites as I will explain later in this article. Satan didn t attempt to keep it a secret, he came to steal, kill and destroy. 1. Out of the Abundance of the heart the mouth speaks life or death. 2. As a man thinks so is he. 3. Life and death are in the power of a man s tongue. These are God s universal laws and apply to everyone, including Christians who have become a host to sickness or disease. If you have been a host for an unwelcomed visitor, called sickness or disease, you are the only one with authority to kick the illegal alien out. It is traditional, but asking God to do your job is unscriptural and doesn t work. Remember, Out of your mouth is the issue of life and death. Asking God to do something that is your responsibility is a symptom of a spiritual diagnosed infirmity called Double Mindedness. 4
Christianity has incorrectly taught that being a Christian automatically imparts the mind of Christ. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus wasn t double minded or he didn t have a left and right side to his brain. Jesus faith always worked because his brain was single. Unbelief, or double mindedness, by a recipient of Jesus faith can cancel the expected results. Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when the eye is single, the whole body also is full of light; but when the eye is evil, the body also is full of darkness. This verse is saying more than initially is apparent. 1. Eye is a Jewish idiom that speaks; Perception originates in a brain. 2. Light of the body means God is being manifested. 3. Eye is single means the brain has been folded together or made one. 4. Full of Light means your body is full of truth and God s will. 5. Eye is evil means having a perception that allows evil to operate. 6. Darkness means living as a host for sickness, disease and accidents or the things Satan has come to inflict. Could Double Mindedness reflect why some Christians are sick and die despite endless prayers, including prayers from famous and strong Christians? I think it is acceptable to say the Jesus kind of Faith is a belief in God and His plans or intentions that are detailed, when accurately translated, in the Bible. If God said the same thing, over a hundred times, starting in Genesis and repeated in the New Covenant I would assume it could be said, God is trying to say something important. Moses was relaying God s thoughts in Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both you and your seed may live. Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. 5
Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves. Isaiah 28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. Jeremiah 8:3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, said the LORD of hosts. Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, said the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live you. Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, said the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn you, turn you from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel? Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. Did you notice how death, grave and hell are combined in several verses? II Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light (correct perception) through the gospel. These are only a few of many verses that say physical Death is a choice to believe and accept what Jesus did on the cross and to believe and accept his resurrection or deny the word of God because no one has ever lived forever. Double Mindedness will deny or not have Faith in what God allowed His Son to accomplish on the cross because of a human fact, Everyone dies. I hope you don t think Jesus believed in death after abolishing death on the cross by his resurrection. The Jesus kind of faith does not permit a belief in physical death. The last enemy to be destroyed was death and Jesus did it for anyone who believes. Nothing is impossible if you believe. 6
Neither should your faith permit a belief in physical death if you are a son of God possessing the single mind of Christ. Your cultural belief that Jesus died on the cross to keep Christians from going to hell is not an alternative for denial of the word of God that Jesus abolished death. I would conclude that believing in physical death is a denial in God s word and can be, without question, be classified as Double Mindedness. The most often heard excuse for denial of a belief in death is the old favorite, Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. This is one of the best examples of the King James Perversion. Several verses before verse 27 and the one after verse 27 are about Jesus and his work on the cross. If the King James translators wanted to express the truth for this verse, they would have said, According to Jewish traditions a certain man will die for the judgment of all mankind. From a personal note; I was not able to disengage my belief in hell until I accepted God s word that Jesus abolished death and restored immortality. Looking back, it is difficult for me to believe how I could have accepted the myth of hell for almost 55 years. Now I feel like I have escaped from the spiritual Flat World Society and the improvements to my spiritual and physical life are beyond description. I don t want to end this article without saying, Accepting and identifying with Jesus for any reason can transform a life. The other side of this comment, I hear over and over from many, I think Jesus is wonderful but I left the church because of the condemnation messages. It is so sad to think how Christianity has connected Jesus, the most incredible person in history, to the condemnation threat of the Catholic Church invention of hell for their purpose to collect money or extortion to commit sin. c.wardman@cox.net November 14, 2009 7
